  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 5/10
  • Total Trophies: 51 | 39 (B), 9 (S), 2 (G), 1 (P) (20 (H))
    • Offline Trophies: 50
    • Online Trophies: 1 - Friendship Rules

[*]Approximate amount of time to platinum: 40-80 hours. (Depending on boosting, co-op & luck!)

[*]Minimum number of playthroughs needed: ~1,5 (+3 Partial playthroughs.)

    [*]Number of missable trophies: 0

[*]Glitched trophies: 1 - Challenge Accepted (Temporarily though. See the trophy for more details.)

[*]Do cheat codes disable trophies: N/A

[*]Extra equipment needed: None. (Second controller does make completing certain challenges easier.)

[*]Does difficulty affect trophies: There’s no difficulty option. (Other than a Playthrough 2 which is harder than Playthrough 1.)

Removing updates/Exploits:
There are numerous exploits that you can use to obtain some of the trophies. Please note, that if you're going to delete any patches to use these exploits, to make a back-up of your save file. Not only did these patches remove exploits, they fixed quite a few bugs and glitches. Also, playing without patches on a save file that has been patched before, could cause save file corruption.

Step 1) Playthrough 1
Pick any of the 4 classes to your liking and start your adventure. You can choose to play solo, split-screen, or (split-screen) online. However, if you want to obtain the trophies as fast as possible, you’ll want to start out as either the Assassin (Zer0) or the Gunzerker (Salvador), since you need to reach level 31 and 25 with these to obtain 2 class specific trophies. The other 2 class specific trophies can be obtained as soon as you hit level 5. You can of course choose to do this later on when you’re more familiar with the game. Not to mention, the badass stat bonuses carry over to different characters, which will make it easier.

The platinum time for this game depends on many factors. Do you play co-op, solo, do you use boosting methods etc. But most of all, it depends on luck. Why? There are a few trophies which involve quite some luck. The following trophies require some luck: "
Cute Loot
", "
Definitely An Italian Plumber
" & "
Challenge Accepted
". They're pretty easy, but they all depend on a rare spawn. Cute Loot requires a Chubby kill, but it's a rare spawn. Same goes for
Definitely An Italian Plumber
, which requires a Donkey Mong kill. The
Challenge Accepted
trophy itself doesn't require much luck, but there's 1 challenge, the Jimmy Jenkins challenge, which requires you to kill Jimmy Jenkins, who also is a rare spawn. Probably even more rare than the other two. For more details, see the specific trophies.

There's one other trophy that relies on a rare spawn, which is the "
A Tribute to a Vault Hunter
" trophy. He also is a rare spawn, but before the latest patch (1.01), he was a 100% spawn, until a certain progression in the main story. You can, if you really want, delete the patch and get a 100% spawn again. For more info, see the specific trophy.

The game itself shouldn’t be too difficult. If you have problems advancing through the story missions, go back and do some side missions instead. Leveling up is a great way to deal with any difficult situation. You can always leave a mission or area and come back later when you've leveled up some. Sometimes, just leveling up 2 levels will make a great difference. (Also, check out the tips given in Step 2 of this Road Map.)

If you find any purple loot but don’t like it and want to sell it, you might want to hold on to it for a while. There’s a trophy that requires you to have purple rated gear or better equipped in all slots. You shouldn’t have any trouble finding the required weapons, but class mods, relics, grenades and shields aren’t as easy to find. For more info, see the “
Decked Out
” trophy.

Most trophies should come by normal game play. But keep an eye out on your challenges list (

:select:

, scroll all the way to the right with

:r1:

. At the Badass rank tabs, press

:right:

). You should be focusing on the many side missions first, but there are many specific challenges you’ll need to complete, such as killing enemies with a certain element, or using certain shields. So if you normally don’t use a certain shield or weapon, you might want to keep them, or try to complete those challenges as soon as possible. The challenges do carry over into playthrough 2. Most challenges should complete by normal game play.
There are 2 challenges you probably want to keep an eye on from the beginning, else this will require some grinding at the end. It's the '
Open Wide!'
Shotgun challenge, which requires 750 up-close kills. And the '
Splish Splash
' Rocket Launcher challenge, which requires 200 splash damage kills.
For more detailed info, see the “
Challenge Accepted
” trophy and the challenge guide.

Also, be on the lookout for any ‘!’ on your maps. These are side missions you can start. There are 2 related trophies, one of which is to complete all the side missions in the game. So always check whether you can start new side missions and where you need to complete these. Sometimes you can complete multiple ones at once because their objectives are close to each other. Sadly, you can’t track more than 1 mission at a time. These side missions are also a great way to gain experience and loot. 1 Side Mission ('You.Will.Die (Seriously)' - Terramorphous) can only be done after completing the Main Story Line and you probably want to be level 50 first. Side missions don’t carry over to playthrough 2, but you can always go back to Playthrough 1, where you can complete any side missions you’ve got left. (From the main menu, press

:triangle:

, load existing character and choose ‘Normal’. Choose to continue and you’ll spawn wherever you were in Playthrough 2.)

Once you've completed the main story line and did every side mission possible, you probably want to discover every location and uncover any black/grey spots on your map for the "
World Traveler
" trophy. Doing so will also net you the 4 other (area specific) trophies, the "
Urban Explorer
", "
Arctic Explorer
", "
Highlands Explorer
" and "
Blight Explorer
" trophy. You can also do this on playthrough 2, since every location you've discovered in Playthrough 1, doesn't have to be re-discovered.

Step 2) Playthrough 2 - True Vault Hunter Mode (1.5 playthrough)
After the last mission, you can back out of the game and choose to continue. However, this time you can choose to start playthrough 2 (True Vault Hunter Mode) or playthrough 1 (normal mode). Playthrough 2 is like a New Game Plus (NG+). It’s exactly the same, however this time you’ll face more, stronger and different kind of enemies (level 31+, more badasses, stronger weapons, better tactics, etc.)

If you're having difficulty with Playthrough 2, read the tips, tricks and strategies at the bottom of this Road Map.

You don’t actually have to complete all the playthrough 2’s story missions. You start playthrough 2 so that you can level up to level 50 for the required trophy, and so that you can kill Terramorphous. You can of course, choose to complete the story again. Once you’ve obtained level 50, you can go back to playthrough 1 and finish the ‘You.Will.Die. (Seriously.)’ mission there, which requires you to kill Terramorphous. Or do this at the end of playthrough 2. For more detailed info, see the "
Capped Out…For Now
" (Level 50) and "
Thresher Thrashed
" (Terramorphous) Trophy. To go back to playthrough 1, at the main menu press

:triangle:

and load an existing character. Choose 'Normal mode.

Just a heads up for when you beat the Main Story line in Playthrough 2. You'll enter 'Playthrough 2.5' automatically (unofficially named that way since Borderlands 1). All enemies will be level 52 this time around.

Step 3) Clean Up / 3 Partial Playthroughs

Once you’ve done both playthroughs (or 1.5 playthroughs), it’s time to clean up any trophy you’ve left if you haven’t done so already. Either in your first playthrough or your second. Doing it on your first playthrough is easier of course. To go back to playthrough 1, at the main menu press
:triangle:
and load an existing character. Choose 'Normal mode.

If you’ve obtained every trophy possible on your character, you’ll have 3 trophies left, which are specific to the classes you haven’t played. You’ll need to play with each character up to level 5 to unlock their action skill. While you can obtain the class specific trophies from the Commando and Siren as soon as you get to level 5, you’ll need to reach level 25 with the Gunzerker and level 31 with the Assassin first. See the specific trophies (“
Sabre Rattler
”, “
Phased and Confused
”, “
So Much Blood!
” & “
Unseen Predator
”), for detailed info.

You can power level your characters if you want, either in co-op or split-screen. If you have a friend that's a high level (level 50 preferred), or find someone in the
, if you join their game and they start killing enemies and doing (side) missions, you'll level up very quickly.

The following exploit will no longer work as of Update 1.03!

There's also a small exploit which allows you to power level your characters to level 30 within 15 minutes. To do this, you'll first have to progress through the main story until you meet Tiny Tina. Do the main mission she gives you and she'll give you side missions afterwards. Complete the 'You Are Cordially Invited' mission until you get the 'You Are Cordially Invited: RSVP' mission. You can start this mission, but don't complete it.

Start the mission and do the following:

  1. Get a co-op partner or use split-screen.

  2. 1 player will go to Flesh Stick, while the other will stay at Tiny Tina.

  3. Player 1 will kill Flesh Stick, which will result in a failed mission.

  4. Player 2 will start the mission again by talking to Tiny Tina after failing the mission.

    • Player 2 shouldn't start the mission to fast, else Flesh Stick might glitch and not spawn. If this happens, either leave Tundra Express and go back, or quit the game and continue afterwards.

[*]Repeat from 3.

Summary

So in short, this is what you would want to do.

  1. Go through the story line.

  2. When you reach The Sanctuary, find Michael for the “
    Tribute To A Vault Hunter
” trophy. (Or whenever you travel to The Sanctuary.

  3. Pick up any side missions (marked with a ‘!’ on the map) and complete them if you want.

  4. Most challenges will come by normal game play, but keep an eye out on some of them.

  5. If you find purple/orange loot, even if you don’t like it, you might want to keep it for the “
    Decked Out
    ” trophy.

  6. Once you’ve completed the story line, start and complete any side mission you’ve got left for the “
    Did It All
“ trophy. (1 Side Mission ('You.Will.Die (Seriously)' - Terramorphous) can only be done after completing the Main Story Line and you probably want to be level 50.)

  7. Once that’s done, complete any challenge you’ve got left.

  8. If you haven’t discovered every location yet, this is probably the time you want to do it.

When that's done.

  1. Start playthrough 2 to get up to level 50.

  2. Kill Terramorphous for the "
    Thresher Thrashed
" trophy, either on playthrough 1 or 2.

And last but not least.

  1. Start 3 new partial playthroughs with the characters you haven’t played yet for their specific trophies, “
    Sabre Rattler
    ”, “
    Phased and Confused
    ”, “
    So Much Blood!
    ” & “
    Unseen Predator
    ”.

Co-Op / Boosting

Every trophy can also be obtained in Co-op mode. For some however, you need to be the one to perform a certain action to unlock the required trophy, because it won't unlock for everyone, such as killing a Chubby ("
Cute Loot
" trophy) and killing a level 4 Goliath ("
Goliath, Meet David
" trophy) for example. Do remember that playing co-op will make the enemies tougher, but the loot better!

On top of that, any side mission that has been completed in co-op, once you return back to your single player game, the game will ask you: "Would you like to skip missions you have already completed in another session?". If you choose to do so, you don't have to do them again.

This can also be done in split-screen, but as of right now, split-screen is bugged! Either sign out of PSN (signing out isn't a guarantee it won't happen though) and play split-screen, or don't play it all. Doing so may reset completely reset your character. If you really wish to use split-screen, make a back-up of your save file(s). Better save than sorry.

Tips, Tricks & Strategies

  • Cover! You can press :circle: and stay behind cover when you need it. There are also many obstacles with gaps and holes where you can shoot through. It seems enemies can't shoot through them, or aren't accurate enough to do so.
    Example:
    http://bit.ly/V3fWAI
  • Jumping out of cover and shooting is also a great technique.
  • Keep moving! Wait.. You just told me to take cover? Yes. But if you can't take any cover, you'll want to keep moving. Strafing is best.
  • Don't rush it. Sometimes you got to take a moment and regain some shield/health.
  • Watch your surroundings. There are many barrels which you can shoot to explode. While you can use this to your advantage, be careful not to stand too close to one yourself. There are even some plants you can shoot that deal damage.
  • High grounds. There are ladders, rocks and buildings everywhere. Use it to your advantage.
  • Use distance and unaware enemies to your advantage. From a distance, enemies have a hard time hitting you. Enemies are also unaware of you at first, making them an easy target. Sometimes enemies will stay idle or go into an idle position if you keep some distance.
  • When in Fight for your Life stance, you can swap weapons and still move, but very slowly.
  • You can use your surroundings for a second wind, such as barrels and certain plants. You do need to kill an enemy with it.
  • Be careful when you respawn. Enemies and even bosses will regain their health. (Not in Co-op mode though.)
  • Grenades. Don’t forget you have grenades. Throw these by pressing :r2:.
  • Make good use of your action skill. Use it by pressing :l2:. Also, invest some skillpoints in action skill based skills.
  • Don't forget to invest your skill points when you level up.
  • Use the minimap. It'll tell you enemy locations (red diamonds) when in battle.
  • When in battle and you need to reload, swapping weapons instead can sometimes be a better idea (press :triangle:, use the :dpad: or press and hold :triangle: and use the :dpad:)
  • You can cancel a part of the reload animation. When a new magazine has been added, you can pretty much do anything (melee :r3:, throw grenades etc) to cancel out the last part of the animation. May require a bit practice.
  • Equipment/loot. Always check your equipment and the dropped loot. Check the area for crates, such as ammo crates and weapon crates. Always make sure you have the best items equipped for the situation. (Personal preference of course.) Read the description of your equipment carefully. Sometimes they have extra benefits. Or negatives..
  • Know your enemy. Not only their weaknesses and strengths. Know their tactics. Most enemies that throw something at you can be shot out of air. Some enemies will also throw grenades, or drop a live one when killed. Some will even rush you and commit suicide by using a grenade. There are too many enemies to list all their weaknesses, strengths and whatnot, so it's best you find out yourself and take notice.
  • Each enemy has a body part which causes critical damage when hit. For most enemies, this is the head. Watch for the 'CRITICAL' to pop up.
  • Elemental effects. If you’re shooting an enemy and instead of damage it says ‘RESIST’, quickly swap to a different element. Also, some elements work better against certain enemies.
    • Use Shock (and Corrosive) against enemies with shields (blue bar above their health). (Enemies that can turn invisible, can't do so without a shield.)
    • Corrosive (and Explosive) against armor (Bots / Yellow health Bar / Might have the word 'armor' in their name).
    • Fire works best against human types and insects (Fleshy types/Red Health bar only).
    • Use Slag to deal bonus damage. If you slag an enemy (becomes purple), you'll do bonus damage with all the other elements.

[*]Badass ranks. Always check your challenges and which ones are easy to complete. Obtaining Badass ranks means obtaining tokens. With these tokens, you can get many bonus stats. And best of all, your Badass stat bonusses carry over between playthroughs!

Borderland Defender Round Two (P)

Unlocked all Borderlands 2 trophies

8C0.jpg Challenge Accepted (G)

Completed level 1 of all non-level-specific challenges with a single character

Glitch warning: This trophy might temporarily glitch on you. If for some reason the trophy doesn't unlock, even though you've completed every required challenge (make sure you've completed the hidden ones to!), complete/level up any random challenge and the trophy should unlock.

General warning: Do not use the following option before obtaining this trophy!

As of update 1.03, players can now reset all challenge progress for a character once they've completed 85% of all non-DLC, non-area-specific challenge levels. This will keep the player's current challenge bonuses and rank, but reset all challenge progress to 0 and allow challenges to be re-completed for additional ranks and bonuses. This option will appear as a tooltip at the bottom of the “challenges” screen within the status menu if the player has met the criteria.

As of Update 1.03, there are non-discovered challenges, will show up as [undiscovered]. Simply keep playing the game for them to unlock.

Borderlands 2 has a huge list of challenges. Every time you complete a challenge, you’ll gain some Badass Ranks. Press :select: to open the menu. Go to the Badass Rank tab by pressing :r1: or :l1:. Now press :right: once to see all the challenges. Not all will show up immediately. Some require progression, while others require other challenges to be completed first. Even though some challenges are hidden, you can complete them while they're hidden (you do need to unlock them first before it actually counts as completed of course). For example, if you get 'Splish Splash' to level 5, 'Catch-A-Rocket' will unlock, which requires to kill enemies with direct rocket hits. If you complete 'Splish Splash', but in the meantime also killed enemies with direct rockets, once you unlock 'Catch-A-Rocket' it'll be completed right away.

(There are 2 challenges you probably want to keep an eye on from the beginning, else this will require some grinding at the end. It's the 'Open Wide!' Shotgun challenge, which requires 750 up-close kills. And the 'Splish Splash' Rocket Launcher challenge, which requires 200 splash damage kills.)

When you complete a challenge or get close to completing one, a pop up will appear in the bottom left corner, above your shield/health. A great way to keep track of the challenges you still need to complete, is by highlighting the challenge and pressing :cross: to ‘watch’ these and put them on top of your list. Challenges carry over between playthroughs.

You’ll need to complete level 1 of all of these, (you’ll need to see a '2' next to the challenge), except for the level-specific challenges, which can be found at the bottom of the challenges tab, after the 'Miscellaneous' challenges. (With level-specific, they mean the challenges listed under certain areas, such as Southern Shelf, Frostburn Canyon etc. Most of these require Vault Symbols and Echo's to be found and more challenges specific to that area.)

For a complete list and guide:

235.jpg Bounty Hunter (B)

Completed 20 side missions

See the “Did It All” trophy.

4E4.jpg Did It All (S)

Completed all side missions

There are a total of 109 side missions you can complete. Side missions can be found as a ‘!’ on your map. These can be found pretty much anywhere on the map. Some of these are also started by picking up random items, such as ECHO devices/audio tapes. Some side missions will say ‘[undiscovered]’ instead of their name and have a cryptic text. This means you haven’t found the required item/person to start the side mission. However, the mission is listed under an area, so you know where to look. (Travel to the area and look for a '!') If not, check the side mission guide. It has a complete list of undiscovered missions, with all the cryptic texts. (links below)

You can check how many side missions you've completed by either counting them yourself at the missions tab (press :triangle: to sort them from the Story mission), or go to the challenges tab (Baddass tab, press :right: once) and scroll down to 'Miscellaneous' and check the 'Sidejacked' challenge. (It only tracks up to 90 side missions though.)

If you go to a quick travel station, you can see at each location on the bottom left if there are any quests you can complete. This is a handy way of going to location by location to complete (and start) your missions. There are a few areas you can't fast travel to, so not all missions show up. Instead, track these missions and the Fast travel station will tell you where to travel to first. If you’ve completed some side missions, it’s always a good idea to turn them in once and a while. Some people might give you a new side mission right afterwards. Once you enter an area, if you have multiple missions, track each mission one by one and look on the map (press :r1: once) to see where they’re located. This way you can save yourself quite some time running around the area. If there are no more side missions to be done and you haven't done them all, don't worry. Simply progress through the main story line and more should unlock. There's 1 side mission which will unlock after completing the story, which is the 'You. Will. Die. (Seriously.)'. For more info on that mission, see the "Thresher Thrashed" trophy.

Don’t worry about failing a mission. If you do, you can simply restart it again at the same location where you’ve started it. If you don’t know where to start it again, simply track the mission by highlighting it and press :cross: to track it. Some missions have a side objective. These have 2 small green '+' next to the check box. You don't have to complete these, but there's a challenge tied to it, so it's always a good idea to complete some of these. They also grant extra mission bonuses. When a mission ends up in you having 2 choices to where to finish the mission, it doesn't matter which one you choose. If a mission item ever gets stuck somewhere, simply leave the area and come back which makes it respawn to its original location. If that doesn't work, quit to the main menu and continue again. If a mission says its blocked, progress through the main missions and it'll get unblocked later on.

Side missions don’t carry over between playthroughs, but if you’re going to start playthrough 2 and don’t feel like doing many of them again, you can always go back to playthrough 1 and finish the side missions you haven’t done yet. (To go back to Playthrough 1. From the main menu, press :triangle: and choose 'Normal Mode' after loading an existing character. Choose to continue and you’ll spawn wherever you were in Playthrough 2.) Completing half the side missions on playthrough 1 and the other half on playthrough 2 for example, won't unlock the trophy.

If you play any mission in co-op and you go back to your own game, you’ll get the message: “Would you like to skip missions you have already completed in another session?”. You can either choose to skip these or play them again. Skipping out on them won’t lock you out from this trophy.

8gqdz7t Capped Out…For Now (S)

Reached level 50

Level 50 requires 3.429.728 experience. You won’t reach level 50 on your first playthrough. After your first playthrough, you’ll be somewhere between level 28 and 32. Trying to reach level 50 on your first playthrough is pretty much impossible, since the enemies won’t scale and only grant 1 exp per kill later on. You can track the exact amount of exp/exp needed at the bottom of your missions tab.

Once you’re done with the first playthrough (completed the main story line), back out of the game to the main menu. From there choose to continue and start playthrough 2 (True Vault Hunter Mode). As mentioned in the roadmap, playthrough 2 is pretty much the same, only the enemies this time are much stronger. You should reach level 50 somewhere on half completing the main story line. If not, you should easily have obtained level 50 after completing your second playthrough.

There are also relics that grant exp bonuses, such as the 'Moxxi's Endowment' Relic for example, which gives an extra 5.0% exp gain from combat. (You can acquire this relic by doing the 'The Good, The Bad, and the Mordecai' side mission. There are probably many more (and better) to be found though.)

Once you’ve obtained level 50, you can return to playthrough 1 if you want and obtain any trophy you’ve got left. To go back to playthrough 1. From the main menu, press :triangle:, load existing character and choose ‘Normal’. Choose to continue and you’ll spawn wherever you were in Playthrough 2.

If you don't feel like leveling up to 50, you can always try the boosting/power level methods mentioned in the Road Map.

EAB.jpg Sabre Rattler (B)

Killed 100 enemies with the Sabre turret

This can only be done with the Commando class, Axton. At level 5, you’ll unlock the Sabre Turret action skill. Aim at where you want to place the turret and press :l2: to deploy it. It’ll automatically aim for any target near it. Kill 100 enemies with the turret (the turret needs to get the last hit on an enemy) to unlock this trophy.

Along the way, there are many skills that will help you out greatly, such as:

  1. Sentry: Extra shots fired per burst and longer Turret Duration.
  2. Laser Sight: Increased Turret Accuracy.
  3. Scorched Earth: Adds Multiple Rocket Pods to your Turret.

(There are certain relics which improves your action skill cooldown rate, class mods which can make your skills go beyond level 5 and relics which grant exp bonuses, which can all help out greatly. Especially the class mods.)

390.jpg Phased and Confused (B)

Phaselocked 100 enemies

This can only be done with the Siren class, Maya. At level 5, you’ll unlock the Phaselock action skill. Aim at an enemy and press :l2: to phaselock the enemy, trapping them in a bubble in midair. Doing this will leave them vulnerable, making them an easy target.

Along the way, there are many skills that will help you out greatly, such as:

  1. Ward or Accelerate: Improved Shield Capacity and Shield Recharge Rate / Increased damage and Bullet Speed with all weapons.
  2. Suspension: Increased Phaselock duration.
  3. Converge: Phaselocks pulls nearby enemies.
  4. Inertia: Killing an enemy increases reload speed and shields regenerate quickly.
  5. Quicken: Increased Phaselock cooldown rate.
  6. Sub-Sequence: Phaselock has the ability to seek another target.

(There are certain relics which improves your action skill cooldown rate, class mods which can make your skills go beyond level 5 and relics which grant exp bonuses, which can all help out greatly. Especially the class mods.)

63F.jpg So Much Blood! (B)

Gunzerked continuously for 90 seconds

This can only be done with the Gunzerker class, Salvador. At level 5, you’ll unlock the Gunzerker action skill. Press :l2: to activate Gunzerking. This will cause you to dual wield 2 equipped weapons. Use both :l1: and :r2: to fire your guns. There’s a time limit though and to do it continuously for 90 seconds, you’ll want to invest points in at least 2 skills; ‘Last Longer’ and ‘Yippee Ki Yay’. This requires you to be at least level 21, but you should at least get to level 25 so that you can dump 5 points into Yippee Ki Yay.

Along the way, there are many skills that will help you out greatly, such as:

  1. Filled to the Brim: Increased Magazine size and Ammo Carrying Capacity.
  2. Last Longer: +3 seconds Gunzerking duration per level.
  3. I’m Ready Already: Increased Gunzerking Cooldown Rate.
  4. Steady As She Goes: Reduced recoil while Gunzerking.
  5. Yippee Ki Yay: +0.6s Gunzerking time per level every time an enemy is killed.

With the Yippee Ki Yay skill, with every kill you make in Gunzerking mode, you’ll gain extra gunzerking seconds (+3 at level 5). Now you’ll have to find an area with many low level enemies where you can keep gunzerking to add seconds to your total. (Caustic Caverns is a great place with all the Varkids running around.) Use strong weapons with big magazines so you don't have to keep reloading. Without killing any enemy, you'll stay 35 seconds in Gunzerking mode. Which means you'll have to kill at least 19 enemies (the more the btter) to Gunzerk for 90 seconds. The trophy unlocks once you stop Gunzerking.

(There are certain relics which improves your action skill cooldown rate, class mods which can make your skills go beyond level 5 and relics which grant exp bonuses, which can all help out greatly. Especially the class mods.)

(Please note, this (the video) is not the only and/or easiest way of doing it.)

FE2.jpg Unseen Predator (B)

Remained in Zero's Deception mode for ten seconds straight

This can only be done with the Assassin class, Zer0. At level 5, you’ll unlock the Decepti0n action skill.

Use the action skill by pressing :r2:. This will make you invisible for a short period of time and will deploy a holographic image of yourself that attract enemies. However, to remain in deception mode for 10 seconds straight, you’ll need the ‘Many Must Fall’ skill, which requires you to be at least level 31. (You can actually obtain this at level 5 by using an exploit. See below for a how-to.)

Along the way, there are many skills that will help you out greatly with this:

  1. Ir0n Hand: More melee damage.
  2. Grim: Reduces cooldown.
  3. F0ll0wthr0ough: Extra movement speed and melee damage.
  4. Execute: Short dash and massive melee damage.
  5. Backstab: Extra melee damage when hitting enemies in the back.
  6. Like the Wind: Increased melee damage while moving.
  7. Many Must Fall: When killing an enemy, you gain extra deception time.

Once you’ve gotten the Many Must Fall skill, go to an area with many enemies (preferably low level so that you can kill them with 1 hit) and try to remain in deception mode for 10 seconds. Without killing any enemies, you'll stay in Deception mode for 5 seconds. Which means you'll have to kill at least 3 enemies (the more the better) to stay in Deception for 10 seconds. The trophy unlocks once you leave Deception.

(There are certain relics which improves your action skill cooldown rate, class mods which can make your skills go beyond level 5 and relics which grant exp bonuses, which can all help out greatly. Especially the class mods.)

Exploit: How to obtain this at level 5.

Enter an online game of a friend or a random person that has the Bandit Technical unlocked. Spawn it and go to the back of the car. Enter the back of the car and as soon as you do, activate Decepti0n. Now keep switching between seats and you should be stay in Decepti0n mode even when the timer hits 0. This might take a few tries as the switching between seats requires a certain timing.

8wghvol World Traveler (S)

Discovered all named locations

There are area specific trophies, which are “Arctic Explorer”, “Urban Explorer”, “Highlands Explorer” & “Blight Explorer”. Even if you’ve obtain those trophies, it doesn’t necessarily mean you'll obtain this trophy. This one requires you to discover all named locations and uncover all the black spots/grey areas on your map, even if they don’t have a name. Not all locations are mentioned in those 4 trophies either. There are many more locations than just the ones mentioned. If you've obtained any of those 4 trophies, you don't have to go to those locations again. You've discovered all you can there is to discover there.

Before trying to obtain this trophy, progress through the main story line enough, or completely finish it to open up every possible area. Also complete every side mission first (the “Did It All” trophy), doing this will make you discover many areas. Some areas can only be discovered by starting certain side missions. Check the 4 mentioned trophies before to see which Main/Side missions you need to complete. For the rest of the map, either use the world map (spoiler tag) or use the following list.

To discover every location which aren't mentioned in the 4 other trophies, you'll have to start/complete the following.

  • Main Missions: All
  • Side Missions: Clan War: Starting the War / Clan War: First Place / Clan War: Reach the Dead Drop / Clan War: End of the Rainbow / Splinter Group / The Cold Shoulder / / Minecart Mischief / The Lost Treasure / Swallowed Whole.

There's no way of checking what areas you've discovered, other then to keep a checklist of every possible (new) named location when you enter them and compare them with the world map below (spoiler tag). (There are also a few area specific challenges which require you to discover a certain area. You don't have to complete these, but check these challenges to see if you've missed an area.) You can discover every location in co-op and obtain the related trophies. However, If you discover any location in co-op and you return back to single play and want to finish discovering the locations there, you'll need to discover the locations you've discovered in co-op again. Even though they already show up as discovered.

If you're missing any of the 4 mentioned trophies, or the World Explorer trophy itself:

  1. Did you complete the main story?
    • No? Do it!

[*]Did you complete all the side missions?

  • No? Do it!

[*]Have you played co-op? Have you discovered any new locations in co-op? Are you going to finish the explorer trophies in single play?

  • Yes? You'll need to discover these locations in your single player game again.

[*]Did you obtain any of the 4 explorer trophies?

  • Yes? You don't have to go to those locations again.

[*]The map itself should have a complete white outline, or an area with white stripes (death zone). The area itself should be completely filled with the same colour, so you might have missed a small spot (grey areas). Few examples:

Still missing something? These are some easily missed locations:

  • Southern Shelf Bay - Ebonfloe & Ice Flows
  • Three Horns Valley - Southpaw Steam & Power (shortcut back to the entrance)
  • Wildlife Exploitation Preserve - Casa de Mordecai
  • Sawtooth Cauldron - Avie's Camp
  • Eridium Blight - Infused Grotto

012.jpg Goliath, Meet David (B)

Allowed a Goliath to level up four times before killing him

A Goliath looks like a huge buffed bandit, wearing a helmet. There are a few different types of Goliaths, but you'll need to do this with a normal Goliath. To get him to level up, you’ll have to shoot of his helmet, which can easily be done by just aiming and carefully shooting at it. (You'll hear a distinctive sound when you do.) Once he loses his helmet, he’ll go into a rage mode. When he goes into rage mode, he will start to attack anyone near him. If he kills an enemy, he will gain experience and level up. Make sure you protect him and you might want to weaken stronger enemies so that he can kill them with 1 hit. Don’t get too close though, else he’ll attack you.

A great place to try this is at the Frostburn Canyon entrance (as seen in the video). You'll be able to find 2 Goliaths here. Throughout the game you'll come across many Goliaths, so you can always try at different places. The easiest way of doing this is by leveling up and by using a weak weapon on a low level Goliath, so you won't instantly kill the Goliath or get yourself killed. If you’re playing co-op, you need to be the one to kill the Goliath to unlock the trophy.

You’ll have to make sure he levels up 5 times. Once he reaches level 6, his name will change to ‘Fatal God-Liath’. He’ll get a different name every time he levels up. An orange aura will also appear when he levels. The names are as followed:

  • Level 1: Goliath
  • Level 2: Raging Goliath
  • Level 3: Badass Goliath
  • Level 4: Super Badass Goliath
  • Level 5: Ultimate Badass Goliath
  • Level 6: Fatal God-Liath.

869.jpg Went Five Rounds (B)

Completed Round 5 of any Circle of Slaughter

You can find the Circle of Slaughter at 3 different locations.

  1. The first location is at The Fridge, called Fink's Slaughterhouse. This is the easier CoS of the two (level 17-20). You’ll get here automatically when you progress through the main story line. If you fast travel here, it’s directly in front of you, called the Fink’s Slaughterhouse. Enter it and talk to Frink. When you accept the mission, go inside and walk up the stairs in the middle and push the button to start the CoS.
  2. The second location is at Ore Chasm. This is the harder CoS of the two (level 27-29). It’s found by going to the ‘Eridium Blight’ area. (You’ll discover Eridium Blight by progressing through the main story line.) Talk to the Innuendobot 5000. When you accept the mission, go through the doors and down the elevator. Step inside the gigantic circle on the ground to start the CoS.
  3. While it isn't a Circle of Slaughter, you can also complete the Creature Slaughter Dome DLC at the Wildlife Exploitation Preserve to obtain this trophy. (Thanks Terminator)

(It doesn't matter which one you complete for this trophy, but you need to complete them both anyway. Both of these Circle of Slaughters consist of 5 side missions, 1 for each wave. They all need to be completed for the "Did It All" trophy, which requires you to complete every side mission.)

Each progressing round consists of 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 waves with an increase of difficulty per wave and round. (Even though, for example, round 2 says 4 waves, as soon as you complete wave 3/4 and it hits wave 4/4, the round has been completed.) There are also side objectives, where you'll have to kill a number of enemies with critical hits. You don't have to complete these do you want to advance through the rounds/waves.

Be prepared for some slaughter, so stock up on ammo and weapons. The enemies itself don’t drop much ammo, so get yourself some increases magazines from the Black Market if necessary. When you fail a wave, you’ll fail the whole round and you’ll have to start over. You don’t have to do all 5 rounds at once. You can complete as many as you want and return later on to start where you’ve left off. You can’t combine the 2 different Circles of Slaughter. Meaning, if you do 2 rounds at Fridge, you won’t start at round 3 at Ore Chasm.

If you're having difficulty with this, either level up some more or you could always try it in co-op. The enemies become tougher, but with a player controlled character on your side, you should have nothing to worry about. You can of course always get help from a level 50 if needed. (You can also start playthrough 2 (True Vault Hunter Mode) if you've finished Playthrough 1 (Normal Mode) and level up to level 50 and return back to Playthrough 1. Level 50 versus level 20-30's? Easy!)

Fridge:

This CoS will spawn bandits enemies, so you mainly want to use Fire weapons. Also a great tactic, Goliaths will spawn. Shoot of their helmets and they will help you out a bit. Don’t let them level up to much though, else they might just pound you to the next spawn station.

A great hiding place, seems to be the pipes stacked on each other on the ground. (When you push the button to start the round, it's on the left of you.) Watch out with enemies from above though. Crouch to get the most protection. Also be careful with rushing bandits. Mostly the suicide and Badass versions. Not to mention, enemy spawns on the lower floor, right in front of you. Staying on the tower might seem like a good idea, but many bandits will simply jump towards you, or throw grenades at you.

Ore Chasm:

This Cos will spawn Hyperion enemies (bots), so you mainly want to use Corrosive and Explosive weapons. Fire will also work great against the engineers. Shooting off the legs of the bots is a great way to slow them down. If any ION bot puts up a shield, throw an 'Area of Effect' (AoE) grenade at him. It will spin and try to track it for awhile, but will soon attach to the ground next to it and damage the bot, even with its shield up.

A great hiding place for this one would be the 2 platforms hanging over the cliff in the back. (Be careful not to drop down into the lava!) Most of the enemies won’t get to you and you got some great cover. And when having enough distance, some enemies will go idle, which is a great time to recover some shield if necessary, or attack them of course. (Be careful in round 4 though, an enemy drop ship will appear right behind you.) Aim for their critical spots, which are their 'limbs'. Shoot them off to kill them quickly. You know where the enemies will spawn, because of a red light that will start to signal. So if it's close to you, better find a different spot.

Tipped Moxxi $10,000

Once you reach the Sanctuary, go to the Moxxxis bar. There's a tipping jar on the bar. Either press :square: to tip $100, or press :triangle: to tip $1.000. Tip her an accumulative amount of $10.000 to unlock the trophy.

Money itself isn’t hard to come by. You’ll earn money by doing pretty much anything in Borderlands. Killing enemies, chests, loot, missions etc. However, if you don’t want to lose the money, do the following:

  • Have $10.000
  • Go to Moxxi.
  • Save your game and continue. (:start: > Quit > Save > Continue.)
  • Tip her the $10.000 and wait for the trophy to unlock.
  • Quit the game via the XMB. (Press the PS button on your controller and choose to quit game.)
  • Once back in the game, you’ll have the trophy and still got your money.

799.jpg Decked Out (B)

Had Purple-rated gear or better equipped in every slot

You’ll need to fill up all 8 slots, consisting of:

  • Weapons x 4
  • Class Mod
  • Grenades
  • Shield
  • Relic

Each of these slots needs to have a piece of equipment equipped, with either a purple or an orange weapon. Purple or better rated gear can be found throughout the game. Simply by looting chests, enemies loot, mission rewards and by using the slot machines at MoXXXis in the Sanctuary. You can also choose to buy the gear at shops if you would like to. Most bosses respawn if you quit to the main menu and continue afterwards. Most of them have a chance to drop some purple or orange loot, so farm them if needed. Click here for a complete list with bosses and missions that drop/give Legendary. If you're having a hard time obtaining purple/orange equipment, you can always use the Trading Thread.

You should advance through the main story first and complete every side mission. You're bound to find many purple-rated, or even orange gear as loot or as a mission reward.

These are all the color codes in Borderlands 2:

  • White
  • Green
  • Blue
  • Purple
  • Magenta (E-Tech)
  • Orange

If you find any purple or orange gear which you don’t like, but want to keep for this trophy, go to Crimson Raiders HQ at the Sanctuary. There’s a vault on the second floor where you can store your items. (One of the main missions requires you to go there and open the storage vault.) You shouldn’t have any trouble finding 4 or more purple/orange weapons, but grenades, shields, class mods and especially relics are a little harder to obtain.

You can also use Golden Keys (can't be found in game, need to be obtained via Gearbox's Shift) and open the Golden Chest in Sanctuary. This chest contains purple loot only.

There's also a great farming method with a certain story boss. This can be done with any boss of course, but this one drops a lot of loot and has a high chance of dropping rare loot, not to mention a very easy method to kill it.

Do not read this method if you don't want any spoilers. You've been warned!

[spoiler=do]

If you want, you can farm the Warrior at the Vault of the Warrior. (You get there via Hero's Pass.) This is the last boss in the game. There's a very cheap and simple trick to farm him. First, get yourself killed by the Warrior (or anything else, such as the lava). You'll spawn back at the 2 vending machines. Now walk back towards the Warrior, but don't drop down to the area where he is. Just stay where you are and take your time. You'll never have to worry about getting hit or ammo. Once he's killed, pick up any loot you want, quit to main menu and continue afterwards. The Warrior will respawn and you can do it all over again, as many times as you want. You can of course, if you're level 50 already, go back to Playthrough 1 and pretty easily solo him without having to use any trick. Or if you fancy loot better suited to your level, do it in playthrough 2.

F9F.jpg Cute Loot (B)

Killed a Chubby

Few enemies in the game have a Chubby version. (In other words, a fat version.) These spawns are completely random, so you might unlock this trophy randomly. There’s no real spawn for these, so all you can do is to be on the lookout for a Chubby spawn, or just keep playing until this unlocks at some point. A great place to try and get it to spawn, is either the Caustic Caverns or Tundra Express (- Farmhouse). Farm the Varkids right at the beginning, where you spawn. If none spawns, quit to the main menu and continue afterwards to try again. This will make all enemies respawn in that area. (If you’re playing co-op, you need to be the one to kill the Chubby to unlock the trophy.)

An extra tip if you're going to farm Varkids. When a Varkid enters its pod, while the name doesn't suggest it, it might transform into a chubby. So if none spawn, let them hatch in their pod and you'll have a change a Chubby might come out instead.

The following enemies have a Chubby version and can be found at the following places:

  • Midget - Southern Shelf, Three Horns, Southpaw, Frostburn Canyon, The Dust, Bloodshot Stronghold, Bloodshot Ramparts, Tundra Express, The Fridge, Thousand Cuts, Lynchwood, Sawtooth Cauldron.
  • Rakk - The sky..
  • Skag - Three Horns, The Dust, Tundra Express, Wildlife Exploitation Preserve, Eridium Blight, Arid Nexus - Badlands, Arid Nexus - Boneyard.
  • Spiderant - Frostburn Canyon, The Dust, Caustic Caverns.
  • Stalker - The Highlands, The Fridge, Wildlife Exploitation Preserve.
  • Varkid - Tundra Express, Caustic Caverns.

If you own the "Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage" DLC, there's a side mission called 'Gas Guzzlers'. There is a 100% Chubby Rakk spawn in that mission. Thank you the_requiem!

140.jpg Tribute To A Vault Hunter (B)

Got an item from Michael Mamaril

Michael Mamaril (he wears glasses and is heavily equipped with weapons) can be found in Sanctuary at rare occasions. He was a 100% spawn before the 'Rising Action' main story. After this main story mission, he would go back to it's original rare spawn rate, which now has been fixed in the latest patch (1.01). With this patch installed, he will now be a rare spawn before and after what happens with Sanctuary.

If you're really having trouble finding Michael, you can always delete the latest patch and find him with a 100% spawn rate before the 'Rising Action' main story mission. Once you've obtained the trophy download/install the patch again.

To delete the latest patch, at the XMB, go to Game > Game Data > Borderlands 2 Additional Content. Hit :triangle: and delete it. Now, this will delete any DLC, but don't worry, you can redownload all this for free again. (Anything you buy in the PSN store or download, can be downloaded unlimited times for free on the same PSN account.) Now obtain the trophy, quit the game and redownload the patch (and any DLC you have).

9ea5x4b

He can be found at different locations in the Sanctuary.

  • Marcus’ Gun Shop
  • MoXXXis. Either at the bar or the piano in the far back corner.
  • Scooters.
  • Zed.
  • Alleyway where you receive the ‘Claptrap’s Secret Stash’ mission.
  • In the center of the town.
  • Crimson HQ.
  • Black Market.
  • Alleyway close to Scooters. When facing the entrance to Scooters, turn right and go up the stairs. One of the alleyways on the right.

2D4.jpg Definitely An Italian Plumber (B)

Killed Donkey Mong

Donkey Mong can be found in the Eridium Blight area. You’ll get here by progressing through the main story line. Donkey Mong looks like a normal Bullymong. He throws explosives barrels instead of rocks.

He has 2 spawn locations.

  • The first is a bit North-West of the Ore Chasm map exit. A quick farming method. Go to Ore Chasm and go back to Eridium Blight. If you quit and continue afterwards, you'll spawn very close to this spawn location.
    8kcst3h

  • The second is all the way in the East. Follow the road (don't go through the Hyperion gate), you'll eventually cross a bridge. Immediately turn right and take the left path.
    8ckagwj

If he’s not there, either leave the area and return, or quit to the main menu and choose to continue afterwards. Once back, use the catch-a-ride if you choose to quit to the main menu, and preferably spawn a Bandit Technical so you can easily deal with Donkey Mong. It’s a very rare spawn. Don't worry about dieing. As long as you don't quit or leave Eridium Blight, he will keep spawning until you kill him.

129.jpg High-Flying Hurler (B)

Killed a flying enemy with a thrown Tediore weapon

Tediore weapons (check the weapon stats, the name is listed below) have a special ability, so to say. Every time you reload the gun (you either reload manually or you have 0 bullets left in your magazine) the weapon will get thrown away, going to wherever you got your crosshair and explode on impact. Don’t worry, a new weapon will automatically appear in your hand. The more bullets left in your magazine, the higher the damage.

Find a flying enemy (preferably a group of Rakks) and do some damage to get their health to a low if needed. However, you should be able to 1 hit them with 1 thrown Tediore weapon pretty quickly. When they charge you, aim at them and reload your Tediore weapon.

Using the Sirens (Maya) action skill, the Phaselock, on a flying enemy to stop it mid-air will not work with this trophy.

18B.jpg Token Gesture (B)

Redeemed 25 tokens

You gain tokens by gaining Badass Ranks. Open your menu by pressing :select: and go all the way to the right with :r1:, to the Badass tab. Every time you complete one of the challenges, you’ll gain a Badass rank. After every few Badass ranks, you’ll gain Tokens, which you can use to acquire bonus stats. To redeem your tokens, simply select ‘Redeem Token!’ (it’s highlighted automatically) and press :cross: to redeem them. You get to choose from a few random stats every time you redeem one.

Every new token, requires more Badass ranks. You get more Badass ranks depending on the level of the challenge you complete. You’ll need a Badass rank of about 329 to obtain 25 tokens.

The best about these stats is that they carry over between playthroughs and characters. So you can pretty much build up an infinite amount of Badass ranks, which means you can could possibly max out many bonus stats.

3B9.jpg Build Buster (B)

Killed a Constructor without it ever building another bot

Constructors are huge yellow robots that have many defense mechanisms to kill you. (Turrets, rockets, lasers.) They can also build new bots to attack you. For this trophy, you want to kill the constructor, before it builds any bot. You’ll notice it building other bots, when it aims at the ground and a blue hologram will appear. You’ll also see a bot being build from the feet up. If it does, quickly destroy the Constructor or deal enough damage to cancel it out. It hardly ever seem to build any, or at least that’s what I’ve noticed.

The first constructor you’ll ever come across is in the ‘The Highlands - Outwash’ area. (You’ll get here simply by following the main story missions.) Once you get to the other side of the river, one will appear from behind the gates. If you’re high leveled, you should have no trouble killing It at all. You’ll want to aim for his red eye, which does the most damage. He can put up a shield in front of it though, but you can still damage the constructor, but not as much.

There’s a Constructor which respawns in the Hyperion base in the Highlands. If you’re having trouble with this trophy, simply level up to about level 20+ and go back and you should have no trouble killing it within seconds before it can construct a bot. However, throughout the main story line you’ll come across multiple Constructors.

The constructor has some pretty nasty attacks and defenses.

  • Normal targeting missiles. These appear as red dots coming towards you. These go in a straight line, so they're easy to dodge. You can also shoot these down.
  • Heath seeking missiles. These missiles will come after you, so either take cover, or shoot them down. Cover is the best option, because of the many missiles.
  • Nukes. Yes, it can use nukes. When this happens, you better run, take cover below something, or shoot it down.
  • Turrets. Is can deploy turrets close to itself. These can do some pretty heavy damage. So keep distance or destroy them.
  • Shield. It can put up a shield in front of its critical spot, its eye. You can still damage the bot, but not as much.
  • Building bots. That's why it's called a Constructor. It can construct bots. It can build pretty much any bot. Be careful though, a Badass Constructor will build Badass bots.

There’s also a very cheap tactic (as shown in the video below) to obtain this without any real effort. Once the Constructor spawns when you cross the river, get yourself killed. You’ll get respawned back on the other side of the river. Go stand where you have to activate the storage lift. Instead of crossing over, use a sniper rifle or any other ranged weapon to shoot the idle Constructor. Be careful though, some bots may cross the river and start to flank you.

This trick can be used pretty much with any Constructor where you can get enough distance but are still able to damage it. (Still need to be careful with missiles sometimes.)

Unlocked 10 customization items

You can gain customization items by completing quests, locations, simply as loot, killing certain enemies, completing challenges or by using the slot machines. You’ll need to find 10 in total and use them to unlock them. Once you receive a customization item, press :select: to open your menu. Scroll to the weapons tab and press :right: once. Go to customization, select the item and press :cross:. Once you’ve done this 10 times, the trophy unlocks.

If you have a Borderlands 1 Save File, the game will detect it and grant you 2 extra customization items per character, which means a total of 8 items. Another way of earning customization items is with special SHiFT codes that grant you new skins.

0AA.jpg Friendship Rules (B)

Revived someone from "Fight for Your Life!" that is on your friends list

When one of your friends gets his/her health to 0, they will go in a ‘Fight for Your Life!’ stance. A timer will appear on their screen. If they kill an enemy before the timer runs out, they’ll get back up their feet, a ‘Second Wind’. If not, they’ll respawn at the last checkpoint. When your friend goes into the ‘Fight for Your Life’ stance, run up to them (don’t get yourself killed!) and press and hold :square: to revive them. This won't work with randoms online. They actually need to be a friend on your PSN Friends list.

If you don't have anyone on your list to do this with, use the Co-Op Partners Thread.

(Doing this in split-screen, even if you choose a PSN account that’s on your friendslist, doesn’t seem to work. Not sure if it has anything to do with the splitscreen bug that has been going on.)

158.jpg Better Than Money (B)

Purchased 5 items from the black market

The black market can be found in the Sanctuary, all the way on the east side of the map. You’ll have to visit this shop when doing a main story mission. The shop is also marked on the map, like any other. The salesman is behind a door. You’ll need to purchase 5 items from him. These items increase your ammo limit, inventory size etc.

Instead of paying with money, you’ll have to pay with Eridium. The total amount of Eridium you have can be found by opening your menu, go to weapons and look at the bottom of the tab. It’s the big purple E. You’ll need at least 20 Eridium to buy 5 items from the market. (Each first item you buy of a certain type, costs 4 Eridium. The next upgrade is 8 Eridium and keeps rising with every upgrade.)

Eridium can be found by opening chests, loot from enemies, mission rewards etc. They’re purple when dropped and you’ll have to pick them up yourself, unlike cash.

39E.jpg Up High, Down Low (B)

Gave Claptrap a high five

Once you reach the Sanctuary, Claptrap will have a short and simple mission for you to complete. You can find him as a ‘!’ on the map (! = new mission). His mission is called the ‘Claptrap’s Secret Stash' mission. It requires you to do, well, basically nothing. Once you hand in the mission, press :triangle: to give Claptrap a High Five. However, that’s not it. He will raise his arm. Quickly aim closely at his hand and press :r3: to melee it. If done correctly he’ll say “That’s what I’m talking about!”. Don’t worry though if you’ve missed it, there are more opportunities.

You can even give him infinite high fives after a certain side mission. Once you progress through the main story line, you’ll come across an area called ‘Opportunity’, where you can start the ‘Statuesque’ side mission. It requires you to defend a Constructor. I won’t spoil anything, but once you’ve completed the mission and hand it in to Claptrap, you can give him infinite high fives afterwards.

A72.jpg What does it mean? (B)(H)

I can't even capture it on my camera

Go to the Highlands area. Connecting the larger 2 piece of land, is a road. On the right side of it, on top of a hill is a Hyperion base. Close to one of the ‘The Highlands - Outwash’ exit, is a Catch-A-Ride. That’s where the entrance is. If you follow the path, you’ll get attacked by Hyperion engineers and bots. Kill them. At the end of the road, is a stairs on your right. Instead of going there, head left, onto the rocks, to the back of the base. You’ll see a small camp. Walk over there and a dialogue will automatically start. Enjoy the dialogue, the view and just wait for the trophy to unlock.

A different path you can take is to take the stairs as mentioned above and keep following the road until you’re on top of a small bridge where a Constructor will spawn. (You passed under the bridge before you went up the first stairs.) Cross the bridge and look down the cliff in front of you. You should see the small camp.

CCB.jpg Well That Was Easy (B)(H)

Completed the mission "Shoot This Guy in the Face"

This is a side mission, which you can start at the ‘Thousand Cuts’ area. You’ll discover this are by going through the main story line, in the ‘The Once and Future Slab’ mission. You can see the mission as a ‘!’ on your map. It’s when you pass the bridge. Accept the mission from ‘Face McShooty’. He wants you to shoot him in the face. Not the legs, not the arms, the face. Equip any weapon (preferably not a shotgun or rocket launcher of course) and shoot him in the face.

541.jpg Thresher Thrashed (S)(H)

Defeated Terramorphous the Invincible

Once you’ve completed your first playthrough, go back to the Sanctuary and a new side missions has appeared at Tannis at the Crimson HQ. (Look for the ‘!’.) She will give you the mission ‘You. Will. Die. (Seriously.). This mission requires you to kill Terramorphous. But as you can see, the required level is level 50. You won’t be able to do it. You’ll have to start Playthrough 2 first and level up to level 50 to even have a chance against Terramorphous. However, when starting Playthrough 2, this mission will disappear, so you’ll either have to finish playthrough 2, or you can also go back to playthrough 1 when you’ve leveled up to 50 and start the side mission there. Terramorphous in Playthrough 2 has more health.

Terramorphous is a raid boss, so in theory, you'll have to defeat it with multiple persons. It's possible to solo him, more on that later. If you're having trouble with Terramorphous and don't have any friends to battle him with, you can always try the Co-Op Partners Thread. Only the player dealing the final blow will obtain the trophy though.

If you need better gear, try the Trading Thread.

To get to his peak, you'll need to have 4 Eridium with you. Once you get to the Terramorphous peak, you'll have to drop down and use the horn. This will make it spawn. He will come out of the ground and occasionally go back in. If you deal enough damage quickly enough, he won't hit you and just keep going back in the ground and pop out again. Hit the yellow 'orbs' to deal critical damage. You can slag Terra, so use that your advantage. A few things you needs to be careful off:

  • His 'arms'. If it hits you with its arms, you'll go flying high. And since you're on a peak, you can easily get knocked off and this will mean an instant death. If you stay at the back and he hits you, you'll simply get knocked against the rocks.
  • His tentacles. He has multiple tentacles, each with different attacks. Some throw rocks at you, some use lasers, while others are fire tentacles. You'll want to deal with these quickly, by shooting their weak spot, which is that big dot in the middle of it.
  • You can see where he's going to pop out of the ground. Make sure you're not standing close or right on top of it.

There's an exploit, where you can sit behind a rock where it won't be able to hit you with its tentacles. It doesn't always fully protect you, but it does most of the time. For the location and extra info, please see this video.

As of Update 1.03, the Bee has been nerfed. It's still powerful, but not as powerful as before.

A great item to use against Terramorphous which will make it A LOT easier, is 'The Bee' shield. You can get it by farming 'Hunter Hellquist' at the 'Arid Nexus - Badlands'. To be able to farm him, you'll have to start the 'This Just In' side mission and complete it. You can farm him afterwards, by killing him and quitting to the main menu and continue afterwards, which will make him respawn. What makes this so powerful, is the AMP Damage and the AMP drain of 0. Each AMP shot gives your next shot a bonus damage. The Bee has no shield drain after each shot, which means as long as you don't get hit, you'll keep doing that bonus damage. AMP Damage of 40-50K? Multiply that with your normal damage, and you know why it's so damn powerful.

F11.jpg Feels Like The First Time (B)(H)

Opened the chest at the bus stop in Fyrestone

One of the main story missions, called ‘Tail and Trouble’ requires you to visit the ‘Arid Nexus’ area Once you reach the Arid Nexus, you should continue onwards until you reach ‘Arid Nexus - Badlands’.

If you’ve played Borderlands 1, this will look very familiar, but a bit different. (You should probably already know where the chest is if so.) Continue onwards till the very North of the Badlands (it’s where you began as a Vault Hunter in BL1.) You should see a red building. You can jump on top of it via the stairs at the back. Jump on the railing, on to the lower roof and from there jump on the railing on your left. Open the red chest on the roof.

Missions leading up to this point:

  • My First Gun.

You'll need to escort claptrap and defeat bandit enemies here and there. After a certain point, you'll come across Boom and his brother Bewm. While Boom will mount a huge cannon (Big Bertha), Bewm will chase you down. Their weaknesses are Corrosive, and they're strongly Fire resistant.

Bewm will use explosive against you, so you should take some distance from him, dodging anything he throws at you. While you're dodging Bewm's attacks, you should be careful with Boom's attacks. He uses a huge cannon (Big Bertha) to shoot at you. A direct hit won't instantly kill you, but will take quite some health. Combine that with the fact that Bewm is chasing you, this might get pretty nasty. If you go all the way to the back, Boom won't be able to target you. He turns very slowly with the cannon, so use that to your advantage. Be careful though, if you kill Bewm, Boom will keep spawning Psycho's. Get close to the cannon and quickly shoot him off of it, by destroying the cannon. Once both are dead, follow Claptrap's instructions again.

You'll need to climb a mountain filled with Psycho's. Just keep following Claptrap's instructions. Once you get to the top, Flint will spawn. Flint has no real weakness, but he's Fire resistant. You'll get attacked by bandits first. You might want to stick in the back and let them come to you. Be careful though, Flint is up high and will shoot at you when you get close. Also, fire erupts from the floor (you'll know where), so be careful. After a while, Flynt will drop down and the slow ass he is, he can be quite deadly. You'll want to keep your distance. Getting close means getting whacked on the head. He uses fire attacks, so best idea would be to stay out of range and go full on with whatever you have. (Except for Fire of course.)

Follow Claptrap's instructions afterwards again and you're done.

The Badasses might prove a small challenge though, but don’t worry, Lillith is there to help you out. Keep your distance and use your action skill as much as possible. Also if you have a fire elemental weapon, use it. Don’t forget you’ve got grenades to.

  • Hunting the Firehawk.
  •

You'll have to make your way to a Bloodshot Stronghold. Once you've acquired the vehicle for the job go inside. Bad Maw will spawn. His weakness is Fire and isn't particularly resistant to something.

Maw uses a shotgun, so you'll want to keep your distance. There's also many places you can hide, so keep running around. Try to shoot off the 3 midgets from his shield. Either kill the midgets, or shoot the chain. If you shoot the chain, the midgets will start the attack Maw. This will reveal a hole in his shield which you can shoot through. Shooting the shield itself will do barely any damage to him. Be careful with the midgets though. Once Maw is dead, they will target you. (Or even earlier.) Your best option would be to deal damage in his back, which you can easily do with grenades. He might even turn or put away his shield for a moment.

Now move your way through the Stronghold. Once you get to the very end (the area with the whirlpool), be very careful. Once you kill enough enemies, Mad Mike will spawn. He has a nasty Rocket Launcher that can instantly kill you. The easiest tactic would be to get to the lower level when Mike is on the small bridge, and go back to where you came from. Now use a ranged weapon, preferably a sniper and you can aim at his feet/lower body without him ever attacking you.

Once you reach Roland, you'll have to free Roland from a Constructor that keeps him captive. The first time it lands, you’ll have to fight your way through bandits and bots first. Take your time. Once you reach the constructor, try to stay alive. You don’t actually have to free Roland just yet, but you should try your best. Use Corrosive (or Explosive) weapons and aim for the constructors red eye. Stay behind the car and when the Constructor builds new bots, quickly lob a grenade. Be careful with the Shield Surveyors, they will repair the Constructor. If you fail to free Roland, the constructor will move to another place. (Friendship Gulag). If you want to, you can stock up on ammo and weapons before you go there. Once you're there, be careful with the many bots. Same tactic applies. You might want to stick on the right, there you'll have some easy cover if needed. Once you free Roland, either at Bloodshot Ramparts or Friendship Gulag, be careful with the waves of enemies that will spawn afterwards. Roland will use his turret, which if you stand close to, will heal you and recharge your shield. For more details on the Constructor and its attacks, see the “Build Buster” trophy.

Use the destroyed trains as cover if needed. Explosive and Corrosive weapons work great against him. If you’re out of ammo, there are a few ammo boxes scattered around. If you see any Shield Surveyors, quickly deal with them! Once you’ve defeated him, pick up the power core and go back to Tiny Tina.

Once you reach Overlook and place the beacon, you'll have to defend it from multiple waves of Hyperion bots. You'll want to be especially careful with EXP loaders, since EXP stands for Explosion, which means they blow themselves into a thousand pieces. Preferably when standing close to a certain Vault Hunter.. Or beacon. Use Corrosive and Explosive weapons as your primary weapons. Toss grenades if needed and use your Action Skill. Be careful with the last 2 waves. The second last wave will spawn a constructor bot, while the last wave will spawn a Badass Loader. As mentioned above, for more details on the Constructor, see the "Build Buster" trophy. In between the waves, the beacon might get destroyed. Don't worry, simply walk up to it and hit :square: to repair it. This can be done as many times as you want, so don't worry too much about it. Once done, quickly use the Fast Travel Station, no need to stay.

You’ll have to move your way through the Wildlife Preservation. Be careful though, there are many different beasts held captive here that will attack you. Before you enter the last building, you’ll have to fight off a wave of bots and a few other beasts, including a Badass Stalker. Once those are defeated, a Super Badass Loader will spawn. Use Acid and Explosive weapons against it. You want to stick to cover to avoid his Rockets attacks. A great place to get some cover, is to turn around. Jump on the sides of the dome, on the right you can crouch behind a rock. Once defeated go inside. Be careful though, you’ll see many beasts held captive again, and these will be set free at some point, including a few nasty ones. If you're having trouble with these, use the same rock as described above to get some cover. Or just keep running and turning and shooting till they're dead.

Once you reach the very end, you’ll have to fight Bloodwing. Only this time, he’s huuuuge. Drop down the elevator and Bloodwing will appear. However, after a few minutes he will keep changing from element. So if he changes to a fire element, don’t use fire elemental weapons, it won’t hurt him. If you have any Slag elemental weapons, use these to your advantage. When he changes element, he will also gain some health again, so you need to be quick before he keeps switching elements, else you’re just wasting ammo. There are a few ammo crates and Mordecai will drop some ammo for you, it won’t help much. If you get killed, you’ll spawn at the elevator, with the bloodwing at full health again. You’ll want to get his health as low as possible and right when he switches from element, you’ll want to go full on to kill him. Bloodwing needs to transform into each element before you can kill him.

While defeating Bloodwing, a few skags will also spawn. You probably want to deal with these quick. Mordecai does shoot them to slag them, which causes them to take more damage.

Some enemies might stand idle there. If you can't reach them, there's a stairs all the way on the right.

Once you finally meet the Slab King, he will uncover his true identity. Now follow the instructions again and be careful of the red circles on the ground. Either avoid them, or quickly run pas them. These are mortar targeting areas. You'll have to destroy 3 beacons. These are shielded, but the shields are dealt with by Brick. If you're having trouble with a few enemies, let Brick tank them.

Spoiler

Missions leading up to this point:

  • The Man Who Would Be Jack.

This mission requires you to go to the ‘Bunker’. When you reach it, you’ll have to take down a few auto-turrets. Each time you take one down, lasers will appear on knee level. (You'll know when the blue barriers turn red.) So every time you take down one, stand on top of the many boxes to avoid getting hit. (It doesn't do much damage though.) Or move down the platform, or up depending on where you are.

The bunker itself however, is not a place, but a huge boss. There’s a very easy tactic to defeat him. Go back to the lower level, where also the vending machines are. Stock up on ammo if needed and health. From there, you can easily take it down without getting hit. If you do get hit or need ammo, run back to the machines. There might be a few bots that will come down there, but these are easy to deal with. Another good spot, but you'll have to be a bit more careful, is at the waterfall. It's behind up those stairs which were behind the Bunker.

Aim for the Bunker's Red Eye. This will do the most damage, but be careful with his turrets and other weaponry, which you can take out. Once he's defeated, stock up on ammo and get some health if needed. Also, sell any loot you don't want right now, you'll know why at the end of this mission.

There are a few pipes you need to destroy when you reach Angel, but Jack will activate shields, preventing you from doing any damage. Roland will deactivate the shields around the pipes one by one. When he does, shoot the pipes to destroy them. Don’t stand to close though, it’ll hurt.

In the meantime, you need to defend yourself from enemy waves, all Hyperion bots. These should be pretty easy, but always be careful with many of them. Use Acid and Explosive weapons and don't forget about your grenades. Angel will spawn ammo crates around her, so grab it if needed. There are also a few pillars (Central Shock Cores) that can come up and shock you when you get close. Keep distance and quickly take these out. You can use these as cover afterwards. You can also use the shield around Angel as cover. There are also a few auto turrets above Angel, these are easy to deal with, but deal quite some damage. Once the Badasses appear, Roland and Lilith will help you out, but they won't deal much damage though. Be careful with the lightning shooting out of the ground, this will shock you.. Good.

Once done, 'Where Angels Fear To Tread - Part 2' will start. Complete it for the trophy.

The map itself might be a little confusing, but you'll need to go down to the bottom and head inside. You'll need to use an elevator and get a guy named 'Mortar' to come down. But he won't come down, but instead you're welcomed with a nice surprise attack. Run around and use the surroundings. Be careful with grenades getting thrown at you.

Afterwards, follow the instructions and later on you'll get tasked to kill 'Mortar' once he has come down. You don't have to though, you can use the elevator and go up to the tower. Once on top of the tower, you'll need to destroy all the Buzzards. Don't use any explosive weapons, because they are to slow. Your best bet would a Rocket launcher, sniper, rifle or SMG. Track their path, don't aim directly at them.

Spoiler

Missions leading up to this point:

  • Toil and Trouble

The first thing you'll need to do is to head to each of the 3 pumping stations. You can rush in and deactivate the power, but the enemies that will spawn might give you some trouble. If so, simply get a car (preferably a bandit vehicle with explosive barrels) and drive up to a station and keep firing until you've cleared out the place.

If you need health or ammo, there are vending machines behind you. The health machine is blocked by an electric fence though. The panel is somewhere above, close to the roadway above you. If you aim correctly, you'll see the fuse box health bar. Destroy it.

Once you get to Arid Nexus - Badlands, at the very back a HUGE bot named Saturn will spawn. Take cover behind the many obstacles and he should be pretty easy to deal with. Use Corrosive and Explosive weapons. Just be careful of his missiles. One great hiding place is to turn around and hide behind a steel panel sticking out on the right. Its right behind a checkpoint. If you stand behind it, he won’t be able to hit you. You can of course move all the way back and use ranged weapons.

Once you get on top of the highway by using the elevator in the back, a Badass Constructor will spawn. Either go all the way back again and use this to your advantage, or go close and stick to one of the containers there. Be careful of its rockets though, they might still hit you, even if you move all the way to the back. For more info on Constructors, see the "Build Buster" trophy.

Now carefully enter the building. Be warry of the bots there. Once all of them have been taken out, go to the objective and download the location. Be careful, as soon as you download the location, 2 constructors will spawn. An easy way of dealing with them is to use the ladder and get on top. They won't be able to hit you there.

Defeated Jack

Story related. Cannot be missed.

Spoiler

Missions leading up to this point:

  • Data Mining

The very last mission.. ‘The Talon of God’. It’s where you have to defeat Jack and the Warrior. For this mission you'll want to be level 30-32. (Being level 32-34 will make this very easy.) You'll first have to make your way through tons of Hyperion enemies, ranging from normal engineers, to Badasses and a Badass Constructor. For more info on Constructors, see the "Build Buster" trophy.

Once you reach Jack, you’ll have to face him and his clones. His clones are pretty easy to deal with, but Jack itself has quite some health and attacks. If you’re confused by his clones, they're the only ones with a shield and health bar. Jack itself has its own at the top of the screen. A good tactic would be to lure Jack out, by taking distance and go all out on him with your strongest weapons. His weakness, like any flesh lump is Fire. Don’t let him get near you. Jack can shoot lasers at you with both his hands, can throw a volley of grenades, put up mines and one of his better attacks is to put down a Hyperion level 32 turret, which you want to take out quickly if placed down.

Once you’ve defeated Jack, he will spawn the Warrior, which is a massive beast with A LOT OF HEALTH. And I mean A LOT. The funny thing is, you can easily defeat it without taking damage from it. It just takes a crap load of ammo and time to take it down. If you stick to small building on your left, you should be able to never get hit by it. There’s also a machine, when pressed with :square:, it’ll spawn ammo crates. Use these, you’ll need them. You can spawn new ammo every 1,5 minute. But even if you choose to stand in the middle of the fight, he seems to have a difficult time with actually hitting you.

Every now and them, lava will rise above the floor, but if you stick to the spot mentioned, it won’t get to you. You should only worry about the ‘Volcanic Crystalisks’. Attack the yellow crystals on their feet to quickly deal with them. If you choose to be in the middle of the fight, the only thing you actually have to worry about is the lava.

His weak spot is on his belly. Shoot the glowing parts. When destroyed, lava will come out and it will stay open for a while. Attack those spots for critical hit damage.

Here’s a video with the first mentioned spot.

There's also a very cheap and simple method to defeat him. First, get yourself killed by the Warrior (or anything else, such as the lava). You'll spawn back at the 2 vending machines. Now walk back towards the Warrior, but don't drop down to the area where he is. There's a force field blocking your shots, but you can stand on top of the rocks on the left and you'll be able to hit him.

Vehicle:

As previously stated in the quote: "Must have visited Three Horns and also gained access to the Bandit Technical during Episode 6: Dam Fine Rescue for this category of challenges to be accessible."

  1. Hit-and-Fun - Kill 5 enemies by ramming them with a vehicle.
  2. Passive Aggressive - Kill 1 enemy while riding as a passenger.
    • This can only be done in the bandit vehicle. Park it somewhere close to enemies, hop out and move to the back and enter the passenger seat. Use your weapons to kill an enemy.

[*]Turret Syndrome - Kill 10 enemies with a turret or vehicle mounted weapon.

[*]...One Van Leaves - Kill 5 vehicles while in a vehicle.

  • Enemy vehicles can be found driving around in the ‘The Dust’ area.

[*]Blue Sparks - Kill 5 enemies while power sliding.

  • Get some speed in a vehicle and before you ram an enemy, steer and press and hold the :r2: button. Also easily done when driving backwards, it’ll automatically do a power slide without steering. Requires some practise though. And probably some luck.

Health and Recovery:

Second Wind: When your health reaches 0, you'll go into a 'Fight for Your Life' stance. If you kill an enemy before the timer runs out, you'll get a 'Second Wind' and will be back up on your feet. Be careful though. Many Fight for Your Life's in a row decreases the time you have. And it'll cause an instant respawn if you keep going down to quick.

  1. I'll Just Help Myself - Get 5 "Second Winds" by killing an enemy when fighting for your life.
  2. Badass Bingo - Get 1 "Second Wind" by killing a Badass enemy.
  3. This Is No Time for Lazy! - Revive a co-op partner 5 times.
    • Can also be done in split-screen.

[*]Heal Plz - Heal 1000 points worth of damage.

[*]Death, Wind, and Fire - Get 1 "Second Wind" by killing an enemy with burn damage over time.

  • Use a weapon with a Fire element. You need to get out of Second Wind by the damage done from the Fire's Damage over Time (DoT). You can’t actually kill the enemy yourself.

[*]Green Meanie - Get 1 "Second Wind" by killing an enemy with corrosive damage over time.

  • Use a weapon with a Corrosive element. You need to get out of Second Wind by the damage done from the Acid's Damage over Time (DoT). You can’t actually kill the enemy yourself.

[*]I'm Back! Shocked? - Get 1 "Second Wind" by killing an enemy by electrocution damage over time.

  • Use a weapon with a Shock element. You need to get out of Second Wind by the damage done from the Electricity's Damage over Time (DoT). You can’t actually kill the enemy yourself.

Grenades:

Some grenades will also have multiple effects, but only the one mentioned in the Grenade's name will count, not both. For example: 'Sticky Lobbed Transfusion' spawns child grenades and steals health. Using this won't count towards the EXPLOOOOOSIONS! challenge, but will count towards the Health Vampire challenge.

Most grenades can't kill enemies instantly unless they are significantly lower level than you. You probably want to deal some damage first and use grenades as a finisher.

  1. Woah, Black Betty - Kill 10 enemies with Bouncing Betty grenades.
    • DAHL Grenades. Description should mention 'Bouncing'. Once thrown, it'll bounce, spin and release projectiles.

[*]Singled Out - Kill 10 enemies with Singularity grenades.

  • Hyperion Grenades. Description should mention 'pulls enemies' or Grenade name should mention 'Singularity. Once thrown, this will cause a purple ball that will pull any enemy close to it and explode a second later.

[*]Pull the Pin - Kill 10 enemies with grenades.

  • Bandit/Tediore grenades. Description should mention 'Causes standard explosion'. May have an elemental effect.

[*]EXPLOOOOOSIONS! - Kill 10 enemies with Mirv grenades.

  • Bandit/Torgue Grenades. Description should mention 'Child Grenades'. Once thrown , it'll explode. The explosion will damage enemies near and it will also release multiple grenades that explode a second afterwards.

[*]Health Vampire - Kill 10 enemies with Transfusion grenades.

  • Maliwan Grenades. Description should mention 'Steal Health' or Grenade name should mention 'Transfusion'. Once thrown, it damages enemies and leeches health and gives it to you.

[*]Chemical Sprayer - Kill 10 enemies with "Area of Effect" grenades.

  • Description should mention 'Area of ..'. Once thrown, a white circle will surround the grenade, causing damage to any enemy stepping into the circle.

Shields:

  1. Roid Rage - Kill 5 enemies while buffed by a "Maylay" shield.
    • Bandit Shields. Description should mention 'Melee' and Name 'Maylay'. When your shield is gone, you'll deal bonus damage with melee. When it does, the word 'melee' will appear in the shield bar.

[*]Super Novas - Kill 5 enemies with a Nova burst shield.

  • Torgue/Maliwan Shields. Description should mention 'Nova'. When your shield is gone, a huge blast will surround you and deal some heavy damage to anyone near it.

[*]Ammo Eater - Absorb 20 ammo with an Absorption shield.

  • Vladof Shields. Description should mention 'Absorption'. Anytime you get shot with normal bullets, the shield may absorb them and add them to your ammo. A small blue bullet appears at your shield meter when it does.

[*]Amp It Up - Kill 5 enemies while buffed by an Amplify shield.

  • Hyperion Shields. Description should mention 'AMP'. When your shield is fully charged, the next shot from whatever weapon you're using deals bonus damage. A red outline on your shield meter will appear when the AMP shot is ready. Will drain your shield every time you use the AMP.

[*]Game of Thorns - Kill 5 enemies with reflected damage from a Spike shield.

  • Torgue Shields. Description/Name should mention 'Spike'. When you get attacked with melee attacks, it'll deal spike damage.

Rocket Launcher:

  1. Shield Basher - Kill 5 shielded enemies with 1 rocket each.
    • Find a rocket launcher with some pretty high damage. Preferably one that only shoots 1 rocket at a time (it doesn't have a damage multiplier such as 500x3 for example). Find some enemies that have a shield (blue bar above their health bar) and kill them with one shot. Easily done with enemies with much lower level than you.

[*]Gone with the Second Wind - Get 2 "Second Winds" with rocket launchers.

[*]Splish Splash - Kill 5 enemies with rocket launcher splash damage

  • Splash damage is like Area of Effect damage. Even if an enemy doesn't get hit directly by a rocket, if he stands to close to the explosion, he will receive damage.
  • You'll want to get 200 enemy kills (level 5) also, which will unlock the 'Catch a Rocket' challenge.
  • A great location for this would be either Caustic Caverns or Tundra Express, with the masses of Varkids. (If you farm Varkids, you might also unlock the "Cute Loot" trophy.)

[*]Rocket and Roll - Kill 10 enemies with rocket launchers.

[*]Sky Rockets in Flight... - Kill 25 enemies from long range with rocket launchers.

  • Not sure how long "long range" exactly is, but just keep as much distance as possible (meaning you can still hit your enemies without the rocket flying into nowhere).

[*][HIDDEN]Catch a Rocket - Kill 5 enemies with direct rocket hits.

  • Requires a level 5 ‘Splish Splash’ challenge, which is to kill 200 enemies with rocket launcher splash damage.

Sniper Rifle (1/2):

  1. No Scope, No Problem - Kill 5 enemies without using zoom.
    • You'll want to get 5 enemy kills (level 1) also, which will unlock the 'Surprise!' challenge.

[*]Longshot - Kill 20 enemies with sniper rifles.

[*]Eviscerated - Kill 5 shielded enemies with 1 sniper rifle shot

  • You'll need to kill enemies with a shield (blue bar above their health bar) with 1 shot. You can't damage them first and finish them off. Their complete shield and health need to go down with 1 sniper shot. Aim for the head!

[*]Snipe Hunting - Kill 10 enemies with critical hits using sniper rifles.

  • A great enemy to get many and easy critical hits on, are the Crystallisks. These can be found in The Fridge and Caustic Caverns.

  • Completing ranks of the "Splish Splash" challenge are required to unlock the "Catch a Rocket" challenge

The last 3 are also listed below with a [HIDDEN] tag.

Most of these should easily come by normal game play.

  • If you have enough distance from bullymongs, they will throw rocks at you. Use an assault rifle or SMG to destroy them. (Don’t use explosive weapon, the bullets are to slow.)

[*]Short-Chained - Shoot a chain to release midgets from shield.

  • An enemy named ‘Nomad Torturer’ have gigantic shields with a midget strapped onto it. Aim to the left or right from the midget and shoot the chain. You'll hear it snap when done correctly and the midget will be set free. If you're having trouble aiming for the chain, get close by and you should have no problem breaking the chain. Don't use any elemental weapons, else you might kill the midget before breaking the chain. The midget has it's own small health bar.

Elemental weapons have a certain color and word in their description. (Fire, Shock, Corrosive, Explosive or Slag.) These weapons have a chance to cause damage over time (DoT); Burning, Electrocute, Corrode, deal Explosive damage or Slag your enemies for bonus damage.

  1. I Just Want to Set the World on Fire - Deal 5000 burn damage.
  2. Boom. - Kill 20 enemies with explosive damage.

Loot:

The rarity of loot is as followed: White - Green - Blue - Purple - Orange

  1. Nothing Rymes with Orange - Loot or purchase 1 orange item.
    • Orange is the rarest loot (legendary). You either need to be very lucky to get it as loot or find it in a shop. Most bosses (they respawn) have a higher chance (still low though) to drop Orange loot.

[*]Open Pandora's Boxes - Open 50 lootable chests, lockers, and other objects.

  • Other objects refer to small ice rocks (they glow green) which you can smash and piles of junk you can scavenge.

[*]It's Not Easy Looting Green - Loot or purchase 20 green items.

[*]I Like My Treasure Rare - Loot or purchase 5 blue items.

[*]Another Man's Treasure - Loot or purchase 50 white items.

  • Purple is rare loot, but not as rare as Orange.

[*]The Call of Booty - Open 5 treasure chests.

  • Treasure chests are chests which contain multiple weapons.

[*]Gun Runner - Pick up or purchase 10 weapons.

Money and Trading:

  1. Whaddaya Buyin'? - Purchase 2 items with Eridium.
    • Eridium can be found by opening chests, loot from enemies, mission rewards etc. They’re purple when dropped and you’ll have to pick them up yourself, unlike cash. The total amount of Eridium you have can be found by opening your menu, go to the weapons tab and look at the bottom. It’s the big purple E. Eridium can be spent at the Black Market in Sanctuary. To buy 2 items, you'll need at least 8 Eridium.

[*]Psst, Hey Buddy... - Trade with 1 other player.

  • Can be done in split-screen also. Both players need to aim at each other and press and hold :circle: to initiate a trade. You don’t have to actually trade something. Both players only have to hit trade and wait 3 seconds.

[*]For the Hoard! - Save $10,000.

[*]Dolla Dolla Bills, Y'all - Pickup $5,000 from cash drops.

Sniper Rifle (2/2):

  1. Leaf on the Second Wind - Get 2 "Second Winds" using sniper rifles.
  2. [HIDDEN]Surprise! - Kill 5 unaware enemies with sniper rifles.
    • Requires a level 1 ‘No Scope, No Problem’ challenge, which is to kill 5 enemies without using zoom.
    • Unaware enemies are the ones that haven't spotted you. Meaning they're minding their own business. Since you're a sniper and your main advantage is long range distance, you'll want to use this. Don't rush into an area with enemies. Take distance and take down your enemies. You'll want to kill them in 1 shot (aim for the head!), else they're not unaware anymore of course. Most of the time, once you kill 1 enemy, the others will notice you. So either be quick, or leave and come back.

[*]Longshot Headshot - Get 25 critical hits with sniper rifles.

  • A great enemy to get many and easy critical hits on, are the Crystallisks. These can be found in The Fridge and Caustic Caverns.

Assault Rifle:

  1. Aggravated Assault - Kill 25 enemies with assault rifles.
  2. This is My Rifle... - Get 25 critical hits with assault rifles.
    • A great enemy to get many and easy critical hits on, are the Crystallisks. These can be found in The Fridge and Caustic Caverns.

[*]Crouching Tiger, Hidden Assault Rifle - Kill 25 enemies with assault rifles while crouched.

[*]From My Cold, Dead Hands - Get 5 "Second Winds" using assault rifles.

[*]...This is My Gun - Kill 10 enemies with critical hits using assault rifles.

  • A great enemy to get many and easy critical hits on, are the Crystallisks. These can be found in The Fridge and Caustic Caverns.

SMG:

  1. High Rate of Ire - Kill 10 enemies with critical hits using SMGs.
    • A great enemy to get many and easy critical hits on, are the Crystallisks. These can be found in The Fridge and Caustic Caverns.

[*]Hail of Bullets - Kill 25 enemies with SMGs.

[*]Constructive Criticism - Get 25 critical hits with SMGs.

  • A great enemy to get many and easy critical hits on, are the Crystallisks. These can be found in The Fridge and Caustic Caverns.

[*]More Like Submachine FUN - Get 2 "Second Winds" with SMGs.

Shotgun:

  1. Shotgun! - Kill 25 enemies with shotguns.
  2. Shotgun Surgeon - Kill 10 enemies with critical hits using shotguns.
    • A great enemy to get many and easy critical hits on, are the Crystallisks. These can be found in The Fridge and Caustic Caverns.

[*]Open Wide! - Kill 10 enemies from point-blank range with shotguns.

  • Point-blank range means, up close. Really up-close. Get as close as you can get to your enemy. This can be a little tricky though. You probably want to use a shotgun without any elemental effects to be sure, since you don't want the element's Damage over Time (DoT) killing your enemy. Go to an area with enemies with a much lower level as you to instantly kill them.
  • You'll want to get 750 enemy kills (level 5) also, which will unlock the 'Shotgun Sniper' challenge.
  • A great place to farm this if needed, is either Bloodshot Stronghold, Southpaw Steam & Power or Tundra Express - Farmhouse. (If you go to Tundra Express, farming the Varkids, you might also unlock the "Cute Loot" trophy.)
  • Southpaw Steam & Power Farming - 50 kills / 5 minutes.
    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebUjhRAdg1A]Borderlands 2 - 'Open Wide!' - 50kills/5min (Challenge Farming + 'Challenge Accepted' Trophy) - YouTube[/ame]

[*]Lock, Stock, and ... - Get 2 "Second Winds" with shotguns.

[*]Faceful of Buckshot - Get 50 critical hits with shotguns.

[*][HIDDEN]Shotgun Sniper - Kill 10 enemies from long range with shotguns.

  • Requires a level 5 ‘Open Wide!’ challenge, which is to kill 750 enemies from point-blank range.
  • Not sure how long, long range is, but keep as much distance possible. Meaning you can still damage your enemies. You probably want to use an explosive shotgun. Their bullets travel pretty long distance and will also do some splash damage if you miss them.

Pistol:

  1. The Killer - Kill 25 enemies with pistols.
  2. Deadeye - Get 25 critical hits with pistols.
    • A great enemy to get many and easy critical hits on, are the Crystallisks. These can be found in The Fridge and Caustic Caverns.

[*]Hard Boiled - Get 2 "Second Winds" with pistols.

[*]Quickdraw - Kill 10 enemies shortly after entering iron sights.

[*]Pistolero - Kill 10 enemies with critical hits using pistols.

  • A great enemy to get many and easy critical hits on, are the Crystallisks. These can be found in The Fridge and Caustic Caverns.

Melee:

  1. Fisticuffs! - Kill 25 enemies with melee attacks.
  2. A Squall of Violence - Kill 20 enemies with bladed guns.
    • Look for weapons with blades mounted under the barrel. Or more specifically, weapons that have +X% Melee Damage. (Thanks to RyujiSakujo)

General Combat:

  1. ...I got to Boogie - Kill 10 enemies at night.
    • It's not always easy to tell if it's day or night in this game, but this should unlock by normal game play. The switch between day and night takes 33 minutes.

[*]Afternoon Delight - Kill 50 enemies during the day.

  • It's not always easy to tell if it's day or night in this game, but this should unlock by normal game play. The switch between day and night takes 33 minutes.

[*]Boomerbang - Kill 5 enemies with Tediore reloads.

  • Remember Tediore's weapons special ability? Every time you reload you'll throw away the gun and it'll explode, instead of reloading it like any normal person would do. Most damage is done with more bullets in your magazine.

[*]Gun Slinger - Deal 5,000 damage with Tediore reloads.

[*]Critical Acclaim - Kill 20 enemies with critical hits.

[*]Not Full of Monkeys - Kill 10 enemies with stationary barrels.

  • Barrels with different elements are scattered all over the place. And like in any explosive Hollywood movie, the bad guys pretty much stand next to these. If not, lure them. Shoot the barrel and if you do enough damage or wait long enough, it'll explode and deal damage and Damage over Time (DoT). The explosion from the barrel or the DoT needs to kill the enemy.

[*]Knee-Deep in Brass - Fire 1000 rounds.

[*]...To Pay the Bills - Kill 20 enemies while using your action skills.

Miscellaneous:

  1. Compl33tionist - Complete 10 optional mission objectives.
    • Each mission has a list with check boxes on what you need to do. Sometimes at the bottom of the check list, you'll see a check box with 2 small green '+'. These are optional objectives. Completing these will grant you better mission rewards.

[*]Sidejacked - Complete 5 side missions.

  • You'll need to complete every side mission in the game and these are marked with a '!' on your map.

[*]Haters Gonna Hate - Win 1 duel.

  • Can be done in split-screen. Both players need to aim at each other and need to press :r3: to melee each other. This will start the duel.

[*]Yo Dawg I Herd You Like Challenges - Complete 5 challenges.

  • What do you think you've been doing all this time? To complete a challenge, you'll need to complete all 5 levels of a challenge. Should easily come by normal game play.

[*]JEEEEENKINSSSSSS!!! - Kill 1 Jimmy Jenkins.

  • Jimmy Jenkins (Jimmy J3NK5) is a blue Hyperion robot midget that can spawn when you open an ammo container (mostly the yellow ones) in any Hyperion area. It's a very rare spawn though. He can spawn from any ammo container in the game, but there are a few methods of farming him.

  • If playing co-op, only the person killing Jimmy Jenkins completes the challenge.
  • Opportunity. Move your way to the left, to the construction area and open any ammo container you see. If he doesn't spawn, quit to the main menu and continue afterwards. Keep doing this until he spawns.
    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjOg7NPjjwE]OpportunityMethod[/ame]
  • Thousand Cuts. Go all the way to the Bunker map exit. Enter the Bunker and go back to Thousand Cuts afterwards. This will make you spawn here at this location when you quit and continue. Now just follow the road and open any ammo container you see.

Great, btw are you going to add guides to some of the more difficult challenges?

Such as reccomended areas to farm them, Specifically Sky Rockets in Flight & Shotgun Sniper.

For now i strongly recommend doing challenges that require lots of kills be done in the tundra express against Varkids.
