BlackMageMog
I was thinking of attempting to plat all three Bioshock game but I'm not sure of the order I should play them in. I was thinking Bioshock -----> Bioshock 2 -----> Bioshock: Infinite, but I wanted to see what opinion other people might have.
Terminator
I would play them in release order i.e "BS 1" => "BS 2" => "BS: I" to avoid spoilers because Bioshock Infinite but especially the Burial at Seas DLCs, will give away virtually every major plot point for the other 2 games. dz06lt
Bs then it doesn't matter. Bs2 is not anywhere near as good as the first

Bs2 is not anywhere near as good as the first I have to agree with you about BS2, that game had a lot of potential but the gameplay wasn't great, the story was pretty weak and the MP is garbage. You cant fault them for trying, but BS was just too amazing. Honestly it would have been better left as one and done until the went to Infinite

I agree on the MP, but how was the gameplay and story better in BS1 than BS2? I liked BS2 better on both points.
Terminator
I can't put my finger on why I didn't like the story in BS2 but it just didn't feel right to me and the gameplay suffered because the game was a lot more linear so you couldn't really explore the world and appreciate it. Yes there were some tweaks here and there but overall it just felt like a rehash of the original only with less flair.

I know they couldn't make you invincible but while playing as BD in 2 you were weak as a "normal" character. That didn't sit right with me at all
Sellers
I agree, I kind of felt underpowered as BD, other than that really er tcool drill charge. I prefer the gunplay in 2 and most of the weapons, but overall it's just not as good as the first, or as challenging.

rennelf
What exactly is pathetic about that explanation? Is it for some reason implausible that the Big Daddies went through a couple phases of development?
AshtimusPrime
Taking down a Big Daddy in the first game wasn't easy for the most part, and you being taken down as one in BS2 wasn't easy either. I never understand the hate or simple 'meh' attitude to BS2. It might not have the original awe and twists of the first, but the gameplay is improved, the story more emotional and involved and the MP is great fun. The first is a better overall game, but the second is still fantastic. And the Summon Eleanor plasmid is all kinds of awesome. Oh, and of course the games should be played in order. Not sure why there would be any contemplation doing otherwise.
