This thread lists the locations and details for all audio diaries, weapon upgrade stations, tonics and plasmids in Bioshock. Maps are provided for each area in the game with a number placed where the item can be found. Each number is a specific colour depending on what type the collectible is; Legend - Audio Diary l Tonic l Plasmid l Weapon Upgrade Station

 

All text descriptions under the map are numbered so you can easily pinpoint the location of any that you are missing. An all-in-one collectible video guide can be viewed

 

Clicking on the WKShT0D.png  for any collectible will take you to the moment it appears in the appropriate video. Tonics and plasmids that have to be brought or invented are not shown in the video as I felt it would be rather redundant.

 

PS4 Version

If you are playing the PS4 version of the game, you do not need to collect all tonics listed in this guide. By purchasing the DLC tonics from Gatherer's Gardens, the trophy should unlock at Olympus Heights instead.

 

Also if you have missed a diary and collect it in NG+, you will unlock the trophy (csboi1337). This will not work on the PS3 version as NG+ disables trophies for some reason.

 

Read before starting!

 

  • Little Sisters - There are 21 Little Sisters in the game. In order to obtain all tonics you must rescue 18 of them. Since completing the game without harvesting any will net you a silver trophy anyway, DO NOT harvest them. If you harvest one by mistake, reload your save.
  • ADAM - Rescuing every Little Sister will net you 3080 ADAM. In order to buy the tonics from the Gatherer's Garden you will need to spend 390 ADAM. Do not spend above your means or you'll have to restart/load an earlier save.
  • Save Regularly - Having to recollect several items because your game froze sucks.
  • Missable Diaries - There are five missable diaries in the game. Two in 'Welcome to Rapture' and three in the 'Rapture Central Control'. Make sure to pick these up before completing those areas.

 

Audio Diaries

There are 122 audio diaries to be found throughout the game. Five of these are missable, these will be highlighted in red in the guide. You can view your currently collect diaries by accessing the map, selecting the message tab and then the location. A few diaries are listed in a different area than where they are actually found. These will be noted in the guide. Collecting all audio diaries earns you the Historian trophy. A video guide for all diaries can be found

 

Weapon Upgrade Stations

There are 12 weapon upgrade stations throughout the game. Only one of these is missable, but it is near the end of the game. If you kill Sander Cohen in Fort Frolic, you will not be able to access the hidden room in his apartment in Olympus Heights where the 10th station is. Upgrading all weapons will earn you a minimum of 8 trophies; 7 for upgrading your weapons and one for finding Sander Cohen's secret room. Tonics

There are 58 tonic in the game. Some are only found in the environment, some must be purchased, some are acquired through research and some must be invented. A large number of tonics that can be found in the environment can also be purchased. If you harvest too many Little Sisters or spend too much ADAM on other upgrades, you will not be able to unlock them all. All missable tonics will be highlighted in red in the guide. Collecting all of the tonics will net you the Tonic Collector trophy and at least one research trophy. You can view all the tonics you have currently collected at a Gene Bank. Tonics that can only be brought or invented are not shown in the video as I felt that it would be rather redundant.

 

Plasmids

There are 22 plasmids in the game. Only four can be found in the environment, 16 can only purchased at Gatherer's Gardens and the final two are rewards for rescuing Little Sisters. If you harvest too many Little Sisters or spend too much ADAM on other upgrades, you will not be able to unlock them all. All missable plasmids will be highlighted in red in the guide. Plasmids are not required for any trophy, but I've included them anyway for extra thoroughness.

Below is a general list of tonics & plasmids ordered by category and then alphabetically. For any item that is merely followed by a location, refer to that section of the guide for a detailed description. In addition to the tonics and plasmids that are received after saving the Little Sister's, any plasmid or tonic that must be purchased at a Gatherer's Garden is technically missable, but you have to go out of your way for that to happen by buying pretty much every other upgrade beforehand. Any missable items are highlighted in red.

Combat Tonics

 

Armored Shell - Purchase from a Gatherer's Garden from the Medical Pavilion onwards for 20 ADAM.

Armored Shell 2 - Loot from the teddy bear by any Gatherer's Garden after rescuing 15 little sisters. NOTE: This tonic is known to be glitchy, so make sure to save your game first.

Legend - Audio Diary l Tonic l Plasmid l Weapon Upgrade Station

 

 

1. Electro Bolt (Plasmid) - This is acquired via story progression. After defeating your first splicer and heading up the stairs, you'll find a Gatherer's Garden machine which holds this plasmid.

 

2. Diane McClintock - New Year's Eve Alone (Audio Diary) - This diary is found in the same area where you unlock the Toaster in the Tub trophy. After disposing of Charlie and the female splicer in Kashmir Restaurant, Atlas will tell you to use your electro bolt on the splicers in the water to fry them. Once the electricity disperses, walk through the water to the table on the right to find the diary.

 

3. Steve Barker - Hole in the Bathroom Wall (Audio Diary) - This diary is found in the bathrooms on the upper level of Kashmir Restaurant. Enter the ladies and find the diary at the far end on top of some debris.

 

NOTE: Welcome to Rapture is a one-time level. Once you go through the hole in the wall in Kashmir Restaurant, these diaries are lost forever.

 

Medical Pavilion

1. Steinman – Adam’s Changes (Audio Diary) – Once you reach Medical, head left twice to find a downed Security Bot blocking the way forward. Hack the bot and continue forth. The diary is on the desk ahead.

 

2. Diane McClintock - Released Today (Audio Diary) – After attempting to unlock the Emergency Access and defeating all the splicers, head back out into the foyer. There is a counter at the far end which contains this diary.

 

3. Steinman – Higher Standards (Audio Diary) – After the apparition plays out, press the switch to open the door. The diary is straight ahead on the wall.

 

4. Tenenbaum – Love for Science (Audio Diary) – This diary is located near the first health station in the area. While facing the station, turn right to find it on top of a suitcase.

 

5. Andrew Ryan – Parasite Expectations (Audio Diary) – This diary is located directly opposite the first turret you most likely hacked. It’s on a counter under the ‘Is Your Family Protected?’ sign.

 

6. Steinman – Limits of Imagination (Audio Diary) – This diary is located to the left of the iced entrance to Twilight Fields, on the wall besides some writing in blood.

 

7. Andrew Ryan – Vandalism (Audio Diary) – This diary is on a chair next to the Circus of Values vending machine in the flooded area.

 

8. McDonagh – Freezing Pipes (Audio Diary) – This diary is located on the lower level, sticking out of the iced entrance to the dental areas. You do not need to melt the ice to collect it.

 

9. Steinman – Surgery’s Picasso (Audio Diary) - Immediately after entering Eternal Flame, turn left. The diary is on the portrait stand.

 

10. Hacker’s Delight (Physical Tonic) – This tonic is located further inside Eternal Flame. There is a security camera ahead so make sure to hack or destroy it first. Instead of heading up the stairs, move to the back of the furnace where you’ll see a body on the tray. Press the button to perform the cremation. When the tray comes back out, the tonic will be nesting in the ashes.

 

11. Incinerate (Plasmid) – Head up the stairs from the furnace. The plasmid is in the room in the corner but the door is locked. Press :l3: to crouch and then crawl through the hole and pick up Incinerate from the floor.

 

12. Suchong – Enrage Trial (Audio Diary) – This diary is located on the floor of the north western section of Kure-All. There is a security camera to the right of the diary which you may want to hack or destroy first.

 

13. Wrench Jockey (Combat Tonic) – Just before the ‘Enrage Trial’ diary there is a vent. Smash it with your wrench and crawl through. The tonic is on the cabinet of this new room.

 

14. Tenenbaum – Useless Experiments (Audio Diary) – This diary is on the floor at the entrance of Dandy Dental, just a few centimetres ahead of the dentistry mat.

 

15. Suchong – Testing Telekinesis (Audio Diary) – This diary is located near the Gatherer’s Garden in Dandy Dental. After heading through the glass door, you’ll see it resting against the button launcher switch platform.

 

16. Telekinesis (Plasmid) – This plasmid is found on the Gatherer’s Garden in Dandy Dental. It’s only a few steps away. If you have not yet melted the ice blocking off Twilight Fields, swap it with electro bolt or you will not be able to enter it until you find a Gene Bank.

 

17. Suchong – Plasmids are the Paint (Audio Diary) – This diary is located inside Painless Dental. The door is locked from the inside so you’ll have to enter through the window. You’ll find the diary in the corner of the misted up room.

 

18. Speedy Hacker (Engineering Tonic) - This tonic is located inside Painless Dental. The door is locked from the inside so you’ll have to enter through the window. You’ll find the tonic in the corner of the misted up room.

 

19. Steinman – Symmetry (Audio Diary) – After Steinman runs away use telekinesis to grab the grenade the nitro splicer on the balcony above throws at you and use it to destroy the debris. The diary is on the wall straight ahead.

 

20. Static Discharge (Combat Tonic) – After dealing with the security bot that Steinman sicks on you, continue forth. The tonic is in the water next to a corpse.

 

21. Steinman – Aphrodite Walking (Audio Diary) – This diary is found in Surgical Savings, the room on the right just before the surgery. There is a security camera inside that you’ll want to hack or destroy.

 

22. Steinman – Not What She Wanted (Audio Diary) – This diary is found on the corpse Steinman is pounding on moments before the boss battle.

 

23. Steinman – Gatherer Vulnerability (Audio Diary) – After harvesting or rescuing the Little Sister, the curtains will rise and reveal a Gatherer’s Garden machine. The diary is at the foot of the machine.

 

24. Security Expert (Engineering Tonic) – This tonic is found in Twilight Fields. If you haven’t done so already, melt the ice. If you swapped telekinesis with incinerate before melting the ice, you’ll have to come back later as there is no Gene Bank in the Pavilion. Head through the central door and through the flooded area. The lights will flicker out momentarily. At the far end, you’ll find the tonic on a cabinet near a corpse.

Neptune's Bounty

1. Medical Expert (Physical Tonic) – This tonic is found in the Lower Wharf. Descend the ramp and you’ll see it in the lower area next to a first aid kit. There is a turret ahead and behind of it’s position.

 

2. Sullivan – Bathysphere Keys (Audio Diary) – This diary is sticking out of the ground behind one of the turrets that was shooting at you when you collected the Medical Expert tonic. You’ll need to crouch to reach it.

 

3. Sullivan – Timmy H. Interrogation (Audio Diary) – Head down the stairs by the Circus of Values vendor and walk through the water until you reach a locked cell. Enter the code 5380 to open the cell and pick up the diary.

 

4. Andrew Ryan – Fontaine Must Go (Audio Diary) – There is a broken grate by the stairs that lead to the Upper Wharf. The diary is at the end of the area below.

 

5. Tenenbaum – Finding the Sea Slug (Audio Diary) – After entering the Upper Wharf, head straight ahead. The diary is on a table by a first aid kit.

 

6. Sullivan – Picked Up Timmy H. (Audio Diary) – This diary is found on the corpse that the Little Sister was harvesting ADAM from.

 

7.Mariska Lutz – Masha Come Home (Audio Diary) – This diary is found next to the teddy at the foot of the hidey hole.

 

8. Andrew Ryan – Watch Fontaine (Audio Diary) – This diary is resting against a Lotz and Sons crate by the Circus of Values vending machine. There is a camera at the top of the stairs that may detect you whilst collecting it.

 

9. Sullivan – Have My Badge (Audio Diary) – To the left of the lock you must smash off to reach the research camera is an open vent. There is a security camera inside the room so prepare to hack or destroy it whilst crawling through. The diary is on the desk.

 

10. Security Bullseye (Plasmid) – After obtaining the research camera, head back towards the broken Gatherer’s Garden. The plasmid is on the ledge slightly below.

 

11. Tenenbaum – Adam Discovery (Audio Diary) – This diary is in a Lotz and Sons crate opposite the El Ammo Bandito! vending machine.

 

12. McDonagh – Eden Leaking (Audio Diary) – This diary is on the floor by the three valves and a lockbox.

 

13. Tenenbaum – Fontaine’s Smuggler’s (Audio Diary) – This diary is on the bench underneath the security camera in the tunnel to Jet Postal and Fighting McDonagh’s.

 

14. McDonagh – Meeting Ryan (Audio Diary) – This diary is found floating in the flooded area at the beginning of Fighting McDonagh’s, just inside the crawlspace.

 

15. Sullivan – Smuggling Ring (Audio Diary) – This diary is located in the 123 Beer pub in Fighting McDonagh’s. It’s on a table underneath a 123 Beer sign.

 

16. Andrew Ryan – Working Late Again (Audio Diary) - This diary is located in the 123 Beer pub in Fighting McDonagh’s. It’s located on the table by the windows.

 

17. McDonagh – Rapture Changing (Audio Diary) – This diary is found in the back room of the 123 Beer pub. You’ll find it on a desk.

 

18. Mariska Lutz – Saw Masha Today (Audio Diary) – This diary is found in room 7. Input the code 7533 to enter. The diary is on the mattress next to the corpse.

 

19. Shorten Alarms (Engineering Tonic) – This tonic is located in a hole in the wall blocked by a Jasmine Jolene poster. After picking up the Saw Masha Today diary, the poster will fall down and you can collect it.

 

20. McDonagh – Arresting Fontaine (Audio Diary) – This diary is found in room 6. You’ll have to fry the door control in order to open the door. The diary is on the floor next to the handcuffed corpse.

 

21. Andrew Ryan – Death Penalty in Rapture (Audio Diary) – This diary is found on a table next to a Circus of Values vendor in Jet Postal.

 

22. Wrench Lurker (Combat Tonic) - On your way back to Fontaine's Fisheries after snapping pictures of the three splicers, you'll come across this tonic which was not there before, on the railings by the vendors.

 

23. Focused Hacker (Engineering Tonic) – To the left of the pneumo you use to relinquish your weapons, your see this tonic stuck in some ice. Use your incinerate plasmid to melt the ice and collect it.

 

24. Weapon Upgrade Station – After defeating Ol’ Peachy and reclaiming your weapons from the pneumo, continue down the stairs. The Power to the People Station is straight ahead.

 

25. Peach Wilkins – Putting the Screws On (Audio Diary) – Use incinerate to melt the ice off the door to the left of the weapon upgrade station. The diary is on a stack of crates near the safe.

 

Smuggler's Hideout

1. Peach Wilkins – Meeting with Fontaine (Audio Diary) - This diary is resting against a crate in close proximity to the turret.

 

2. Frank Fontaine Kraut Scientist (Audio Diary) - One of the cells just before the burnt out sub has a lock on it. Smash the lock and find the diary on the floor.

 

3. Peach Wilkins – Offered a Deal (Audio Diary) - You'll find this diary just before the bridge that leads to the exit, next to an overturned crate.

Arcadia

1. McDonagh – Seeing Ghosts (Audio Diary) – This diary is located in the north western area of the Tea Gardens. Just north of the stream and by a rock.

 

2. Dieter Sonnekalb – Big Night Out (Audio Diary) – Once you enter this area, an apparition will play out. The diary is underneath the bench.

 

3. Tenenbaum – Mass Producing Adam (Audio Diary) – This diary is directly opposite the Big Night Out diary. It’s in between a chair and overturned stool.

 

4. Langford – Arcadia Closed (Audio Diary) – This diary is found on the table next to the Gene Bank in the Tea Gardens.

 

5. Andrew Ryan – The Market is Patient (Audio Diary) – This diary is found inside Waterfall Grotto. It’s on the bench under the grotto sign.

 

6. Mariska Lutz – Shouldn’t Have Come (Audio Diary) – This diary is found on a rock underneath the Rolling Hills sign, just past the RPG turret.

 

7. Langford – The Saturnine (Audio Diary) – Almost directly opposite the Research Laboratories is a Houdini Splicer cave. You’ll find the diary just inside the cave.

10. Langford – Early Tests Promising (Audio Diary) – This diary is located on top of a crate right next to the Rosa Gallica.

 

11. Diane McClintock – Heroes and Criminals (Audio Diary) – Use your electro bolt on the door panel to unlock the door. The diary is found on the floor just past the water puddle.

 

12. Hacking Expert (Engineering Tonic) – After sending the Rosa Gallica through the pneumo, you’ll gain full access to the lab. The tonic is on the desk through the next door.

 

13. Langford – What Won’t They Steal? (Audio Diary) – This diary is found at the foot of the cabinets in the same room as the Hacking Expert tonic.

 

14. Langford – Teaching an Old Hound (Audio Diary) – This diary is found on a table on the opposite side of the first aid station.

 

15. Langford – The Lazarus Vector (Audio Diary) – After the poison clears the room, inspect Langford’s corpse to find this diary.

 

16. Langford – Lazarus Vector Formula (Audio Diary) – Use the code Julie scribbled on the window with her dying breath, 9457, to open the wall safe. The diary is inside.

 

17. Langford – Arcadia and Oxygen (Audio Diary) – This diary is found in the northern area of the Tree Farm. It’s resting against a storage crate.

 

18. Weapon Upgrade – Head up the stairs at the southern end of the Tree Farm; by the door to Arcadia Glen’s and turn left. The second Power to the People station is here.

 

19. Tenenbaum – Maternal Instinct (Audio Diary) – This diary is found near the entrance to Farmer’s Market. You’ll find it at the top of the steps.

 

20. Andrew Ryan - The Great Chain (Audio Diary) – This diary is not accessible until you restore the forest. Just inside the metro, you’ll find it on a sofa next to a gift.

4. Andrew Ryan – First Encounter (Audio Diary) – This diary is found near a corpse of a Big Daddy in a room marked ‘Employees Only’ on the ground floor. For some reason this diary will be listed under Neptune's Bounty on your in-game list.

 

5. Tenenbaum – Hatred (Audio Diary) – From the position of the First Encounter diary, walk into the flooded area. The diary is on the desk at the far end of the room.

 

6. Andrew Ryan - Desperate Times (Audio Diary) – On the first floor there is another door marked ‘Employees Only’. Inside is a crawlspace. Open it to reveal the diary. You can pick it up without crawling through.

 

7. Pierre Globbl – Water in Wine (Audio Diary) – By the entrance to the tunnel that leads to the Apiary and Winery is a corpse, distilled water and this diary.

 

8. Tenenbaum – Adam Explained (Audio Diary) – This diary is located on the counter of the Apiary, next to the splicer under attack by bees.

 

9. Tenenbaum – Functional Children (Audio Diary) – This diary is on a table with some cake near the Circus of Values vendor.

 

10. Weapon Upgrade – Descend the stairs of the Winery Cellar. The Power to the People station is in the flooded area straight ahead. You may see part of it sticking out as you walk down the stairs.

 

11. Photographer’s Eye (Combat Tonic) – Found in a cabin with distilled water. Once you grab it, three trip wires will block the exit.

3. Sullivan – Artists Feud (Audio Diary) – This diary is found on the counter of the Cocktail Lounge opposite Sophia’s Salon. There is a security camera nearby that you may want to hack or destroy first.

 

4. Weapon Upgrade – Fort Frolic’s first Power to People station is found on the lower level of Le Marquis D’Epoque .

 

5. Albert Milonakis- Fancy Cigarettes (Audio Diary) – This diary is found on the lower level of Le Marquis D’Epoque. Turn around from the upgrade station and you’ll see it in between a corpse.

 

6. Dianne McClintock – Stood Up Again (Audio Diary) – This diary is found at the top of the atrium stairs. There is an overturned trash can, the diary is sticking out of the trash.

 

7. Sander Cohen – Musical Insult (Audio Diary) – Head up the set of stairs from the 123 Beer pub. The diary is just outside an overturned box.

 

8. Alarm Expert (Engineering Tonic) – This tonic is found on one of the balconys in the theatre. Unfortunately, you cannot use telekinesis to collect it. Head back towards the entrance and take a right instead of going through the door. The tonic is beyond the last door, but it is locked. Enter the door next to it instead and climb on top of the balcony. Jump across to the balcony that contains the tonic and pick it up.

 

9. Sander Cohen - The Doubters (Audio Diary) – This diary is found on the brushes table inside Cohen’s Fine Art Collection.

 

10. Martin Finnegan - The Iceman Cometh (Audio Diary) – This diary is found in the Poseidon Plaza tunnel, an area that is not accessible until you place Fitzpatrick’s picture in Cohen’s masterpiece. It is sticking out of some ice by the valve. You do not need to melt the ice to claim the diary.

 

11. Frozen Field (Combat Tonic) – After killing Martin Finnegan, loot his corpse for this tonic.

 

12. McDonagh – Fontaine’s Army (Audio Diary) – This diary is found in Sir Prize which must be accessed from the upper level on your first visit. To the right of the counter on the lower level is a box which contains this diary.

 

13. Sullivan – Bump Culpepper? (Audio Diary) – This diary is found inside Pharaoh’s Fortune Casino on Poseidon Plaza’s upper level. Prepare to hack or destroy the camera as you ascend to the top level of the casino. The diary is on one of the pool tables.

 

14. Weapon Upgrade – Head into Sinclair Spirits and hack or destroy the camera. Behind the counter is a switch. Press it to unlock the door ahead of you. The final Power to the People station in Fort Frolic is through this door, at the bottom of the stairs.

 

15. McDonagh – Gun’s Blazing (Audio Diary) – This diary is on the table inside Robertson’s Tobaccoria.

 

16. Jasmine Jolene – Pregnancy (Audio Diary) – This diary is found in the back room of Eve’s Garden. Two apparitions will play out here; one when you enter Eve’s Garden and one when you walk through the corridor to the back room. The diary is poking out from underneath the bed.

 

17. Rodriguez – It’s All Grift (Audio Diary) – After walking back to the pub from the back room, you’ll hear Rodriguez. The diary is on the counter where he was sitting.

 

GLITCH NOTE: When you return to the bar, this diary may be invisible. If you approach the spot where the diary is supposed to be there will be a prompt to pick it up. This glitch may only relate to the version that comes with Bioshock Infinite but that is not 100% confirmed. Thanks to cpjoe999 for the information.

 

18. Extra Nutrition 2 (Physical Tonic) – Just south of Sinclair Spirits there is a staircase leading to a lower level. It may be inaccessible for you. I’m not 100% sure what unlocks it; on my first playthrough I noticed it unlocked after killing Rodriguez, but on my second playthrough it was still blocked off after completing Fort Frolic – at least until using the second weapon upgrade station. The tonic is on a storage crate in the north east corner.

 

19. Anna Culpepper – Ryan’s Stableboy (Audio Diary) This diary is located behind the counter of Rapture Records on the upper level of Poseidon Plaza.

 

20. Medical Expert 2 (Physical Tonic) – After completing his masterpiece, Cohen will unlock the case that contains this tonic. Do not kill him here!

 

21. Electric Flesh (Combat Tonic) – This section of the Projection Booth is not accessible until you complete Cohen’s masterpiece. The tonic is on the top shelf of the cabinet.

 

22. Sander Cohen – Requiem for Andrew Ryan (Audio Diary) - This section of the Projection Booth is not accessible until you complete Cohen’s masterpiece. The diary is on the desk.

7. Sullivan – Artist Woman (Audio Diary) – This diary is on the table by the music stand in Anna Culpepper’s apartment.

 

8. Weapon Upgrade – The final Power to the People station in this level is behind the locked door in Sander Cohen’s apartment. If you killed him in Fort Frolic, it will remain locked..forever. Engage the two splicers and Cohen will become angry and will run out to teach you a lesson. Kill him ad take a picture of his corpse to unlock the Irony trophy. Go through the now unlocked door and up the stairs to the room that holds the upgrade station. Visiting this room will also unlock the Found Cohen’s Room trophy.

 

9. Frank Fontaine – Sad Saps (Audio Diary) – Once you enter Fontaine’s apartment, head into the room on the right. The diary is on a table inbetween two sofas.

 

10. Electric Flesh 2 (Combat tonic) – This tonic is found in Fontaine’s apartment in the same room that you found the first sample of the lot 192. It’s on the desk.

4. Suchong – Protection Bond (Audio Diary) – This diary is found in the Clinic. After entering, head through a door on the left marked ‘Y. Suchong’. The diary is on the floor near the slaughtered corpse.

 

5. Dianne McClintock – Meeting Atlas (Audio Diary) – Search the steamer trunk in the hut to collect this diary.

 

6. Weapon Upgrade – Hack or destroy the camera in Atlas’ HQ, Hestia’s fifth floor, and then head down the stairs. The Power to the People station is on the wall, diagonally ahead.

 

7. Frank Fontaine – The Longest Con (Audio Diary) – After upgrading your weapon, turn left and walk forward until you reach a desk. This diary is on the desk.

9. Diane McClintock – Today’s Raid (Audio Diary) – After upgrading your weapon, turn left and walk forward until you reach a desk. Just past that desk will be a smashed desk which holds Diane McClintock’s body. Search her corpse to collect the diary.

1. Weapon Upgrade – After you catch up with Fontaine, he’ll send two security bots after you. Deal with them and then continue forth. To the right of a Big Daddy corpse is the first Power to the People station of the level.

 

2. Safecracker 2 (Engineering Tonic) – This tonic is found inside Autopsy in the Little Wonders Educational Facility. A camera will be pointing at you as soon as you enter so get ready to hack or destroy it. The tonic is found on a desk at the back by a pheromone sample.

 

3. Tenenbaum – Why Just Girls? (Audio Diary) – This diary is found on a desk on the Atrium Balcony. Another pheromone sample is on the desk behind it.

 

4. Suchong – Changing Employers (Audio Diary) – Just outside the entrance to Optimized Eugenics is a door covered in ice. Use your Incinerate plasmid to melt away the ice and go inside. Search the trash can to find this diary.

 

5. Weapon Upgrade – The final Power to the People station is found in the same room as the Gene Bank in Optimized Eugenics. If you’ve used all stations up to now, the Weapon Specialist trophy will pop.

 

6. Alarm Expert 2 (Engineering Tonic) – Enter the Live Subject Control Room in Live Subject Testing. The tonic is at the back of the room by the Voicebox Modification Machine.

 

7. Suchong – Extra Munitions (Audio Diary) – Enter Plasmid Prototyping and head left (or right if you entered a different door). This diary is next to a corpse at the bottom of the steps.

 

8. Andrew Ryan – Marketing Gold (Audio Diary) – This diary is found on top of a control panel in Test Subject Storage.

 

9. Suchong – Cheap Son of a Bitch (Audio Diary) – In Suit Assembly you’ll find a door blocked off by ice. Jump and crouch to reach the other side and then use your Incinerate plasmid to melt the ice. Head through the door and find this audio diary on the table.

 

10. Hacker’s Delight 3 (Physical Tonic) – This tonic is found on a desk with Big Daddy Helmets in Candidate Induction.

 

11. Suchong – Missing Boots (Audio Diary) – This diary is found on a desk at the back of Candidate Conversion. There are two turrets in the room that you may want to deal with first.

 

12. Suchong – Protector Smell (Audio Diary) – Head up the stairs in Failsafe Armored Escorts to reach the Suit Assembly Upper Floor which contains the final three diaries. This diary is on top of a control panel.

 

13. Andrew Ryan – Mistakes (Audio Diary) - Head up the stairs in Failsafe Armored Escorts to reach the Suit Assembly Upper Floor which contains the final three diaries. This diary is on a control panel next to the Gene Bank.

 

14. Suchong – Protecting Little Ones (Audio Diary) - Head up the stairs in Failsafe Armored Escorts to reach the Suit Assembly Upper Floor which contains the final three diaries. This diary is on top of a cabinet. If you have collected all of the audio diaries, the Historian trophy will pop here.

 

15. Damage Research 2 (Combat Tonic) – This tonic is found in the Mendel Family Library. Deal with the turret and walk to the back of the library. The tonic is on a desk by the Big Daddy Boots.

I had trouble getting the trophy because I counted 22 diaries in game on Neptune's Bounty then realized that it was actually 21 because of the Andrew Ryan – First Encounter diary listed on Neptune's Bounty. Took a while to realize I was actually missing a diary there. :(

Logical and streamlined, and a huge help on an out-of-the-blue one-sitting survivor plat run I just made today while burning some downtime. Hadn't played the game in three years and was plenty worried that trying to stay on top of all the tonics and tapes while in survivor was going to make me want to pull my hair out, but using this as my primary roadmap I had fun the entire time. Thank you for the excellent work.
