The Captain
I played this last year but was pretty bored so didn't replay it on a mop up run to finish it. From what I remember, I could be wrong, but I used to be able to switch the L1 & R1 buttons for the sight/fire gun with no fuss. I can do this still of course. It should work out if swapped that firing a vigor is now L2 and the vigor menu is R2, simple enough. However, the problem is I cannot access the vigor menu or swap the vigors equipped by pressing R2, it does nothing at all, nor does any other button or combination! But, if I swap the controls back to the default L2 and R2 for aiming and firing, with L1 & R1 for the vigors, it works perfectly... Is this a busted feature, has some patch mucked it up or are you just stuck with shabby L2 & R2 controls even though the menu tells you the buttons you've chosen, and it should work the way you want it?? Oh I'll add the buttons on the d pad didn't work at all either - so no map markers or listening to collectables Edited June 4, 2014 by The Captain
Terminator
It sounds like either your install or Joypad is messed up as I've had no problems with changing Vigors.
The Captain
Well with multiple resets and playing around with controls menu, I turned game off and rebooted ps3 and hey presto! It works. Problem solved. I'm guessing when starting a new game, somehow the game data or something got confused even though the controls were still saved as originally set from earlier saves.. sjohn463
I had a similar thing happen to me once, but when I did a reboot the problem got fixed and it hasn't happened again. Just a weird, freak occurrence I guess.
