Beyond: Two Souls is an interactive drama created by developer Quantic Dream exclusively for the PlayStation 3. Beyond: Two Souls isn't a typical video game, but more of an interactive gameplay story that differs from Heavy Rain greatly with the addition of a second playable character, Aiden, an invisible being that is capable of manipulating objects, possession and choke non-playable characters. The choices you make in your playthrough will result in a variety of different endings as well as how the story unfolds.

With this being a story driven game, you shouldn't be playing solely for the sake of collecting trophies. If you haven't played the game yet, I highly recommend that you experienced the story and gotten whatever trophies and ending you have earned in your first playthrough. Return back to the guide and continue through the rest of the road map and trophy guide for the rest of the trophies and endings.

PS4 Version: For those playing the remastered PS4 version and it's your first time playing the game. You might be asking yourself this question:

  • Remixed or Original?

Remixed is chronological order while the Original is the orignal cinematic order from the PS3. I recommend you play the Original order first as the guide was written from that order. The Remixed version can make a few trophies much faster to obtain though. Good for cleaning things up. If you're using a collectible guide on PS4, make sure it's in the order of the choice you're using.

http://i.imgur.com/tl4rrk3.png

Please note that the Trophy Guide is written with the Orignal PS3 order

Step 1 - Play on Duo Mode (or do a whole separate playthrough for that), Save All/Killed All, Collect Bonus items and do Uncontrollable.

You'll want to playthrough the game in Duo Mode for the co-op based trophies:

(B)

Two Souls

(G)
Together Till the End

If you don't have a 2nd controller or an iphone/Android device to help you playthrough Duo Mode, then please see the Together Till the End trophy description for a method that will trick the game into thinking you're playing with two controllers when you're really playing with just one.

While playing on this playthrough, you'll need to decide wither you want to save all the possible characters that can be saved or let them all die. This is for either the Saved All or A Better World trophies. You can't do both so pick one for now and do the opposite in another playthrough or during cleanup step. The characters that you need to be concerned about are:

  • Walter
  • Jimmy
  • Paul
  • Norah
  • Cole
  • Ryan

Refer to Saved All or A Better World trophy descriptions to learn how to save/kill them.

The final things you should keep in mind is collecting all the collectibles in the game and going for the misleading trophy Uncontrollable. For the Uncontrollable trophy you'll need to do 6 specific evil actions while playing as Aiden, so while you're playing on certain chapters be sure to do the following things listed below:

  1. The Experiment - Choke the Woman during the experiment. You need to destroy as many objects as possible to make her vulnerable to Aiden's choke attack.
  2. The Embassy - Possess the guard on the second floor and make him jump over the railing to commit suicide.
  3. The Party - Choose "Revenge", attack the teenagers and start a house fire with one of the candles, or the oven.
  4. My Imaginary Friend - When playing in the snow, choke the kid that attacks Jodie.
  5. Alone - Choke Philip (Jodie's fake father) when he leaves the room.
  6. The Dinner - Cause mischief until Ryan gets uncomfortable and leaves Jodie's apartment (ruined the date).

Doing all the above will unlock the Uncontrollable trophy for you. Anything else you do will not matter, but try to get as many chapter specific trophies out of the way as you possibly can during this playthrough. For more information please refer to its trophy description. As for the collectible trophies you should be following the Beyond: Two Souls - Bonus Locations Guide.

Step 2 - Get all endings relevant to the choice you made in step 1 (Saved All or A Better World) by selecting all endings and then replaying Black Sun for the other endings

Based of your choice from step 1, you'll want to view all the endings your current playthrough can view. So if you decided to save everyone, then you'll have an ending cleanup like this:

[spoiler=savedall]

All characters alive: (you can also view each life ending with continue)

  • Choose Life then Alone
  • Choose Life then Zoey
  • Choose Life then Jay
  • Choose Life then Ryan

Replay Black Sun

  • Choose Beyond

Replay Black Sun

  • Let Jodie Die in Black Sun

From Homeless to end with all characters dead:

  • Choose Beyond

Replay Black Sun:

  • Choose Life then Alone

If you killed all then you're ending cleanup is like this:

[spoiler=killedall]

All characters dead:

  • Choose Beyond

Replay Black Sun:

  • Choose Life then Alone

Replay Black Sun

  • Let Jodie Die in Black Sun

From Homeless to end with all characters alive: (you can also view each life ending with continue)

  • Choose Life then Alone
  • Choose Life then Zoey
  • Choose Life then Jay
  • Choose Life then Ryan

Replay Black Sun

  • Choose Beyond

After doing half of your endings you'll want to do the other half during step 3. The other half of the endings starts from the Homeless chapter, so replay Homeless with the save feature enable to overwrite your saved data. Don't worry because this game remembers the endings you already seen on your first playthrough.

Step 3 - Chapter select Homeless and do Saved/Killed All (opposite of step 1) and go for Slept with Ryan.

During this step you're replaying the game from Homeless in order to obtain the opposite endings based off your choice from step 1. While playing through the game again you'll want to also go for some trophies that you didn't obtain from your first run through of the game. So try to obtain them now while you have the chance, also try to go for the In Love with Ryan trophy during this playthrough if you don't have it by this point. Please refer to the trophy guide for more information.

Step 4 - Cleanup missed chapter specific trophies

By this point, the only remaining trophies should be single chapter specific trophies. Please refer to the trophy guide for information on how to unlock them.

BEYOND: TWO SOULS™ MASTER (P)

Collected all trophies!

All trophies unlock at the end of each chapter at the loading screen. No trophies are glitched and patches don't matter. It also doesn't matter if you play the entire game in either Solo or Due mode since they can both unlock trophies. If you didn't unlock a trophy, then it simply means you didn't complete the requirements exactly. The information below contains spoilers. If you're not interested in having parts of the game spoiled for you, then come back after you completed your first playthrough. Other than that, collect all other trophies to unlock this trophy. Congratulations!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1585/F0D.jpg Somebody Else? (B)(H)

Played as Aiden for the first time.

Chapter: The Experiment

Story related, cannot be missed. For this trophy you'll need to play as Aiden for the first time, which is mandatory. Other than that, he's a supernatural entity that has been with Jodie Holmes since she was born. Aiden is capable of manipulating the environment, possession, healing, shields, and channeling memories. He'll always be assisting Jodie throughout the story.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1585/339.jpg Obedience (B)(H)

Stopped the experiment voluntarily.

Chapter: The Experiment

After completing the first test, Cole will ask Aiden to move the blocks in the next room. Switch to Aiden and move the blocks, then continue moving, throwing, and breaking objects around the room until Nathan yells "STOP!" while trying to bust through the door. Press :triangle: to switch back to Jodie and then quickly press :cross: to stop the experiment voluntarily. All this must be done before Cole and Nathan bust the door open.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1585/996.jpg Teammates (B)(H)

Did 3 mischievous things with Jodie and Aiden.

Chapter: My Imaginary Friend

During the chapter, My Imaginary Friend, you'll need to do at least 3 mischievous things with Jodie and Aiden. So basically, Aiden needs to do things that can get Jodie into trouble from her parents or you can do things that give Jodie a reaction. There are actually about 9 different things you can interact with to meet the trophy requirement, but the most common method to obtain the trophy is to go into the kitchen and bother Jodie's mother by doing the following:

  • Use Aiden to levitate the chairs
  • Use Jodie to look at the cookie jar, and then ask if you can have a cookie. Use Aiden to grab a cookie and you can either drop it in Jodie's hand or on the floor.
  • Use Aiden to turn on the radio

After meeting the requirements for the trophy you can finish the chapter or quit to main menu.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1585/19D.jpg Entities Apprentice (B)(H)

Vanquished the entities with Aiden.

Chapter: First Night

Throughout the game you'll encounter monsters which are evil entities. Aiden is capable of defeating these monsters. There are only two chapters in the game where you'll face evil entities and they're The Condenser and First Night. For this trophy, you want to be successful in one battle against them and it only unlocks after clearing First night. This is because the First Night chapter is the first time that Aiden is no longer afraid of the "monsters". When Jodie gets attacked on her first night with Cole and Nathan just be sure to protect Jodie at all cost.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1585/7A6.jpg Sorry (B)(H)

Forgave Jodie's father.

Chapter: Alone

During this chapter you'll be playing as Aiden the whole time. Jodie's parents are leaving her in the care of Cole Freeman and Nathan Dawkins never to return again. Simply just watch as her parents leave and don't interact with Jodie's father, Philip, who will later produce a red aura as he's leaving. For the trophy you want to not harm Philip. For the counterpart of the this trophy see Not My Father.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1585/A5A.jpg Not My Father (B)(H)

Choked Philip with Aiden.

Chapter: Alone

This is during Alone where you'll be playing as Aiden the whole time. As Jodie's parents are saying their goodbyes to her. Her father, Philip, who really isn't her biological father, will end up producing a red aura. Red auras signifies that a non-playable character can be choked, so as soon as Philip turns bright red you'll want to squeeze the life out of him (he can't be killed) until the scene automatically ends the chapter. This trophy is also required for the Uncontrollable trophy.

Taught 3 or more of the teens a lesson, or started the house fire, with Aiden.

Chapter: The Party

During the near end of The Party, the teens will lock Jodie inside the cupboard under the stairs (Harry Potter reference). When Aiden frees Jodie from the cupboard you'll be promoted with two of the following options:

:circle:

Leave

:cross:
Revenge

Since this trophy is titled after revenge you'll want to select the 'Revenge' option, and then scare the teens using Aiden. You'll be able to break objects, knock them unconscious as well as set the house on fire. You can set the house fire by using either the candles to burn the curtains or by turning on the stove. I do recommend setting the house on fire because as it will later be required for the Uncontrollable trophy.

Chapter: The Party

This is another choice you can make in The Party. Now this trophy is different as it has different requirements than its counterpart trophy Revenge. During the events of the party, the teens will ask Jodie to demonstrate her super "mega powers". All you need to do is simply 'Refuse' or say you have 'No power' and the teens will not be impressed. Eventually, the teens will lock Jodie inside the cupboard under the stairs. When Aiden frees Jodie from the cupboard, you'll be promoted with two of the following options:

:circle:

Leave

:cross:
Revenge

This time you'll want to select the 'Leave' option and Jodie will leave the house.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1585/90B.jpg Together Forever (B)(H)

Protected Jodie from her attackers.

Chapter: Like Other Girls

This trophy is obtained during the events of Like Other Girls. Jodie will be grounded and forbidden to go hanging out with other people. Your main objective is to escape the Laboratory and make your way to a bar. In order to escape the Lab facility, you'll need to use Aiden to break objects around the room. Once you broken enough objects, you can possess Cole and use him to make it to the entrance exit. When the guard ask if Cole is alright, you want to press :cross: to try to speak as a possessed Cole. This will prevent the guard from touching Cole because Aiden will be ejected if the possessed body is touched by another character, which is something you don't what happening. Not unless you're after the In Love with Ryan trophy.

When you make it to the bar, you can interact with the pool table or arcade machine. Either will work because one of the men at the bar will approach you to play a game of pool. Continue selecting dialogue as you wish and eventually he will try to rape Jodie. At this point, you'll switch to Aiden automatically. Interact with objects around the bar to scare the men into trying to escape. While watching them attempt to escape one of the men will produce a red aura, so choke him to death first. Now possess the 2nd man who had produced an orange aura, take the shotgun from behind the counter and kill the last guy. After the 2nd guy is dead make the possessed body commit suicide.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1585/BE7.jpg Portal Shutdown (B)(H)

Successfully shut down the condenser portal.

Chapter: The Condenser

During this chapter a horrific accident has taken place at a different facility and Nathan asks Jodie to help shutdown a portal that opened a dimension to the 'Infraworld'. Jodie is tasked with risking her like in an attempt to stop the effects from spreading. As you make your way to the location of the portal, you must not fail the QTEs that occur in this chapter. Failing a certain QTE will result in Jodie leaving the facility and forcing the military to airstrike the building. This will not give you the trophy if that happens. In order to prevent that, you'll need to do the following:

  • Defeat the possessed scientist (you can skip him if you wish)
  • In the next room complete the QTEs successfully without failure
  • In the icy hallway search for a key-card and successfully defend yourself from the dead scientists
  • As Aiden, protect Jodie by taking out the dead scientists one by one
  • At the final room, flip the switch and prepare for final battle

After completing all the above, simply make your way towards the other side. When the evil entities attack Jodie, you'll automatically be switched to Aiden. As Aiden, fight off and kill every single evil entity that gets in your way because it's also very important to vanquish them all while you have the opportunity to do so. This is because this chapter is required for the Entities Master trophy to unlock later on. Once Jodie has made it successfully across, she'll automatically shut down the condenser portal.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1585/08B.jpg Channeling Master (B)(H)

Channeled all dead bodies in the condenser compound.

Chapter: The Condenser

This is another trophy related to The Condenser, where Jodie is asked to shut down the condenser portal. During the chapter, you'll find dead bodies and will be able to channel some of them. Channeling is like retrieving memories of a recent traumatic event. By channeling all the dead bodies in the condenser, Jodie will witness how that person died.

There are a total of 8 dead bodies in the chapter that can be channeled. Simply walk up to the bodies and then use both the :ls: and :rs: sticks to control the purple orbs and redirect the emanation towards Jodie's head to trigger the flashback.

The spoiler tag below is a list of locations:

[spoiler=deadb]

  1. The first body is story related and is found when entering the elevator.
  2. After exit the elevator, move the recent deceased solider out the way. Enter through the door and switch to Aiden in order to open the door. Enter the room and go behind the desk where the switch is located at and on the desk counter is the dead body.
  3. In the next room full of servers, you'll find the body on the floor to the left of Jodie.
  4. After dropping out of the air vent and into a burning office, you'll find the body leaning his back against a desk on the floor.
  5. After breaking the window, you'll find the body nearby a soda machine.
  6. In the same area as the soda machine, you'll find a fireman's body.
  7. After fighting or skipping the possessed scientist, you'll find the next body in a group of dead soldiers.
  8. The final body is found in the condenser control room after making your way past the icy hallway.

Once you've channeled all the dead bodies in the condenser compound. You can either finish the mission or quit out to the main menu to unlock the trophy.

Completed most of the physical training successfully.

Chapter: Welcome To The CIA

This is during the events of Welcome To The CIA, where Jodie and Aiden train for covert operations in the CIA. It's hard pinpoint exactly how many challenges you have to complete successfully for the trophy to unlock, but don't worry. They're all easy to complete and you shouldn't fail or mess up that much. Just complete all the training as you're instructed.

Chapter: Welcome To The CIA

This trophy is during the events of Welcome To The CIA, where Jodie trains in a CIA Training Facility. For this trophy, you simply need to win the fighting sections with less than 5 hits. It's not all fights across the entire game, so don't worry yourself. All the fights are extremely easy because during intense hand-to-hand combat, time will briefly slowdown for Jodie and give you a quickly chance to make your move. Always make sure you follow Jodie's movement by pushing the :rs: in the same on-screen direction. If you're having trouble or gotten hit too much during a fight, you can quit the game to the main menu and select continue to retry again. This would restart the fight you failed.

Completed all stealth training without being spotted.

Chapter: Welcome To The CIA

This trophy is during the events of Welcome To The CIA, where Jodie trains in a CIA Training Facility. For this trophy, you'll need to complete the last training exercise without being spotted. The last section is live stealth train, where Jodie needs to distract and knockout guards with the assistance of Aiden whenever necessary. This is fairly easy, just don't rush through it and wait for guards to come to you. Take them all out one-by-one, and when you have only two guards left. You can use Aiden to choke a guard on top of the container, then climb the ladder to the right and drop down on the last guard to automatically take the red flag and end the mission. Just remember that you can't be spotted at all, so if your instructors yelled at you. You can just quit the game to the main menu and select continue to retry again.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1585/581.jpg Clean Job (B)(H)

Shut down the monitor and finished the mission using only Aiden.

Chapter: The Embassy

This is during The Embassy, which is Jodie and Aiden's first assignment with the CIA. As Jodie, you'll want to lock yourself up in one of cubicles in the women's bath room and then use Aiden's help to access the documents found in Sheik's hidden safe. There are three ways to complete this chapter, but for the trophy you want the method that uses only Aiden. This means you want to complete the mission objective without doing the following:

  1. Killing the monitor guy or guard
  2. Without possessing either Sheik or the guard

While using only Aiden, fly upstairs to the second floor and go into a surveillance room. Inside the room is a guard and monitors, hit the switch on monitors. The guard will notice that it has been paused and will fix the monitor screen, so distract the guard by interacting with the coffee or portable TV and pause the monitor screen once again while he's distracted. Now fly into Sheik's main office and interact with a portrait painting of him, then open the drawer from the desk and flip the switch. Deactivate the hand scanner device and open the documents so Jodie can read them. All this will meet the requirement for the trophy. You can finish the remaining mission as normal by writing the documents down and leaving with Ryan.

  2. Without possessing the guard

When you switch control to Aiden, you'll want to possess Sheik, the man Ryan introduced to Jodie. Wait for him to move away from people as he cannot be touching another person or else Aiden can't takeover his body. Once Sheik's produces an orange aura, possess him and walk up the stairs and enter his office. Inside the office, walk behind his desk and look for the switch to move the portrait painting. Now use the hand scanner device to open the safe and take out the documents so Jodie can read them. All this will meet the requirement for the trophy. You can finish the remaining mission as normal by writing the documents down and leaving with Ryan.

Cooked a meal, cleaned the apartment, took a shower, wore the elegant dress and put on some music.

Chapter: The Dinner

This is during The Dinner, where Jodie has a special dinner with Ryan in honor of her new apartment. For the trophy, you simply need to cook a meal, cleaned the apartment, took a shower, wore the elegant dress and put on some music before Ryan Clayton arrives.

  • To clean the apartment all you need to clean is put the trash in the trashcan, books on the bookshelf, and clothes in the laundry.
  • To take a shower head into the bathroom, get cleaned, dry off and put on some lingerie.
  • To put on the elegant dress, head into her room and look inside the closet, then select the 'Elegant' option and yes to dress up.
  • To put on some music, simply turn on the radio located under the bookshelf. Usually 'Romantic' music is the number one choice, but any is fine.
  • To cook a meal, head into the kitchen and read the cooking book on the counter. Cook either the Asian Beef or Chicken Curry as your choice doesn't matter as long as it isn't ordering a pizza (Ryan loves the Asian Beef more though).

Anything else you do doesn't matter as you can drink alcohol, wash the dishes, set the dinner plates and candles out on the table. Aiden will mess up Jodie's apartment a little by messing with the chairs, pillows, bathroom mirror and ringing the doorbell. This is normal thing that happens in this chapter.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1585/EF1.jpg In Love with Ryan (B)(H)

Slept with Ryan.

Multiple Chapters Required: Must be played from Like Other Girls all the way to The Dinner. You cannot do this by chapter skipping!

Chapter: The Dinner

This is during The Dinner, where Jodie has a special dinner with Ryan in honor of her new apartment. For this trophy, you must sleep with Ryan, which is only possible if you never went to the bar in Like Other Girls and witnessed a scene where Jodie is sexually assaulted. If you did go to the bar and ended up protecting Jodie from her attackers which is the trophy requirement for the Together Forever trophy, then you need to go into chapter select and replay from Like Other Girls all the way to The Dinner with the save enabled to overwrite your previous playthrough. However, if you do go to the bar you can still get the In love with Ryan trophy by asking the bartender if he has seen any of her friends. He'll tell Jodie no, and you can just leave through the door whether or not you talked to him to end the chapter (thanks to Harry94_ ).

During the Like Other Girls chapter, you want to make sure that Jodie gets caught and never leaves the Lab facility. To get caught escaping, you'll need to use Aiden to break objects around the room. Once you broken enough objects, you can possess Cole and use him to make it to the front entrance. When the security guard ask if Cole is alright, you can put your controller down or ignoring pressing :cross: to speak. Not speaking as the possessed Cole will eventually make the guard becomes worried; causing him to touch Cole and since Aiden was in possession mode he'll be ejected from the body. All this is required because it'll traumatize Jodie's life if she's sexually assaulted by men. Preventing her from even having sex with Ryan.

Once you have met either of the above requirements and make it to The Dinner. Do whatever you want and if you're missing one the other two counterpart trophies of either Perfect Lover or Casual Girl, then go ahead and combine one of them with this trophy. All you have to do is not ruin the date with Aiden and have Jodie kiss Ryan when prompted. The two will eventually do the nasty. :blurp:

Made it to the cathedral without being spotted.

Chapter: The Mission

During The Mission, Jodie will be tasked with a dangerous assignment of assassinating a warlord. During the course of the chapter, you'll stealth your way through a village, a hotel and then a cathedral. For the trophy, you'll need to make it to the cathedral without being spotted. This is similar to the Welcome To The CIA chapter, only this time you'll have more combat and enemies to eliminate. This is not hard at all, and you can use Aiden to scout the areas before moving to cover. While behind cover you can knockout an enemy who isn't aware of your presence. Some enemies can be choked to death or possessed to commit suicide or murder each other, so take advantage of those opportunities when given. Also, don't forget that Aiden can hit barrels to distract enemies, which enables Jodie to knock them out with ease. Just remember that you can't be spotted at all, so if an enemy does spot you. Just quit the game to the main menu and select continue to retry again. Additionally, if you needed this trophy just for cleanup purposes; once you made it to the Somalian kid you can just quit to main menu for the trophy to unlock.

Escaped the train without being arrested.

Chapter: Hunted

During the Hunted chapter, where Jodie is a fugitive on the run, you'll be able to escape, avoid or get arrested by the police. For this trophy, you'll want to escape the train without being arrested. This is very simple and can be done in a variety of ways. While Jodie is sleeping, the train will eventually stop at a station where police will aboard looking for her. Now, you can wait for them to aboard or you can hit one of the objects near Jodie to make her look outside the window. Before they get a chance to search near Jodie, you can run away and they’ll give chase. Keep running and fighting until you made it to the end cargo. Have Aiden break the window and climb on top of the train. Continue moving ahead while trying to avoid the police who're climbing up. When you get trapped by three police officers, fight them all off successfully and then jump off the train. After jumping off the train and landing on the ground, you can either finish the chapter or quit out to the main menu as you met the requirements for the trophy.

Destroyed the gas station, the church, the gun store and the helicopter.

Chapter: Hunted

This is during the Hunted chapter, where Jodie is a fugitive on the run. At the near end of the chapter you'll be driving a stolen motorcycle and will be halted at a bridge sealed off by SWAT members. Cross the bridge by protecting her with Aiden's shield in order to make it to Bakertown. If you fail to protect Jodie, it would result in the police arresting you. Once you’re in the town, Jodie will be shot off her motorcycle. For the trophy, you'll need to destroy the gas station, the church, the gun store, and the helicopter to end the chapter. While doing this trophy, don't go on a wild killing spree by trying to kill and interact with everything. There is a limited number of objects you can interact with, so do the trophy requirements immediately.

  • To destroy the gas station, which is located in the far upper left, you can use Aiden to remove the fuel hose, and then possess the nearby SWAT member to shoot the fuel. Another way to blow the gas station is to possess the nearby SWAT member and have him throw grenades at the fuel containers.
  • To destroy the gun store, fly over to the far right and possess a SWAT member in the vehicle. Have him crash the van into the 'Hunting Cabin' gun store.
  • To destroy the church, fly up to the church's clock tower and interact with it twice to destroy it completely.
  • After destroying the above items, open the door for Jodie in order to get her out of harm’s way, then fly up to the helicopter, possess the pilot and have him crash it down on everyone.

After destroying the helicopter the chapter will come to an end.

Got arrested three times and escaped each time.

Chapter: Hunted

During the Hunted chapter, where Jodie is a fugitive on the run, you'll be able to escape, evade or get arrested by the police. For this trophy, you'll want to get arrested three times and escape each time. There are multiple places where you can get arrested and even failing a fight against the police can get you arrested. You can experiment on how you want to get arrested, but each arrest in different sections all lead to the same escape scenario. Below I'll mention the earliest (and fastest) arrests of each section along with their respective escape method.

  • Section 1: On the train, the fastest way to get arrested is to wake up Jodie when the train stops, to make the police board it faster. Now you can either wait while doing nothing for a couple of minutes for the police officers to notice you're the fugitive or you can run all the way to the end of the train, until you get into a fight with a police offer and lose on purpose.
    • When Jodie wakes up, switch to Aiden and possess the police officer. Now release Jodie from her handcuffs and knock the police officer out in another room. Return back to Jodie's room and blast the window with Aiden and jump out of the window.

[*]Section 2: After escaping the train, get up and continue running through the forest until dogs attack Jodie. Let the dogs win on purpose.

    • Use either Jodie or Aiden to choke the police officer, then have Aiden open the door. Now knock over the other police vehicle and have Jodie steal the motorcycle.

[*]Section 3: While riding the stolen motorcycle, a helicopter will soon be chasing after you until you've come to a stop with SWAT blocking the bridge. When crossing the bridge, don't protect Jodie at all and she will be shot off her motorcycle and arrested.

    • During the final arrest scenario, you can possess the first guard and shot the driver in the head right away. Now escape the vehicle and Aiden will automatically destroy the handcuffs; you now meet the requirements for the trophy to unlock.

Chapter: Homeless

During the Homeless chapter, Jodie will help Stan with collecting enough money to buy some food. There are multiple ways to go about doing this. For the trophy, you'll need to make enough money to have some chocolate during dinner. There are two ways to make the money for the chocolate, which are the following:

  • Playing the guitar located across the street.
  • Stealing the money from the ATM by using Aiden and have Jodie take it.

Doing either method will result in Stan saying that he had enough to buy some chocolate for desert during the dinner scene, which is proof that you met the trophy requirements.

With no way of breaking into the supermarket, use Aiden to do it for you. For the trophy, all you have to do is deactivate the supermarket's camera and you do that just by destroying it. Once inside the store as Aiden, look up at the ceiling and destroy it immediately to meet the requirements for the trophy. Additionally, if you do switch back to control of Jodie after opening the supermarket shutters, Jodie will ask you to make sure it's safe to go inside or to wait, which is a damn good indication that you haven't disabled the security camera (thanks to GAZDAN).

One possible reality has been uncovered...

Story related. Cannot be missed. This will unlock upon completing the game at least once. In theory, it technically unlocks for viewing one of the many possible endings to the game.

Took every opportunity to be evil as Aiden.

Multiple Chapters Required: Must be played from The Experiment all the way to the Dinner. You cannot do this by chapter skipping!

For this trophy, you need to have Aiden commit 6 specific evil actions from The Experiment chapter all the way to its ending point, The Dinner. Below is a list of things you need to do:

  1. Chapter: The Experiment
    • Choke Kathleen during the experiment by destroying as many objects as possible to make her produce the red aura.

[*]Chapter: The Embassy

  • Possess the guard on the 2nd floor and make him commit suicide by jumping over the rail.

[*]Chapter: The Party

  • Select the 'Revenge' option to scare the teens and started a house fire by either using the candles to set the curtains on fire or turn on the stove.

[*]Chapter: My Imaginary Friend

  • While playing with the kids, choke the boy that attacks Jodie.

[*]Chapter: Alone

  • Choke Philip (Jodie's fake father) when he leaves the room.

[*]Chapter: The Dinner

  • Ruin Jodie's date to the point that Ryan leaves Jodie's apartment.

Anything else you do in any other chapters while doing this trophy will not matter for Uncontrollable. As long as you've completed the above list, then the Uncontrollable trophy will unlock after ruining Jodie's date with Ryan. Additionally, for those who want to start their 2nd playthrough to cleanup remaining trophies and endings. You're absolutely free to combine this trophy with the other individual trophies that you missed while stilling going for the opposite endings.

This trophy is obtained by starting a possible future romance with a character. You do this by kissing them and only two men in the game count towards this trophy. They are either Jay or Ryan both of whom Jodie can kiss. Jay is earliest opportunity to obtain the trophy on just as long as you were successful in completing the ritual, then kissed him at the end of the chapter. If you failed the ritual, you won't be prompted the kiss option at all. The next opportunity is The Mission where Jodie can kiss Ryan before heading out on her dangerous mission. It's also possible that different chapters of kissing Ryan will also unlock the trophy. If you're playing the game kissing every guy or boy you meet, you'll have no problem unlocking the trophy. Just keep in mind that kissing the teenage boy at he party doesn't count for this trophy because Jodie needs to be an adult. Additionally, if you managed to sleep with Ryan for the In Love with Ryan trophy, this will also unlock.

Chapter: First Night

During the chapters The Condenser and First Night, you'll have to defeat all the evil entities for this trophy. In others words, in The Condenser chapter you need to shut down the portal successfully while also projecting Jodie. In First Night, project Jodie from the evil entities once again. This is where the Entities Master trophy will unlock only if you defeated the entities from The Condenser chapter. The Entities Apprentice trophy is unlocked from First Night since it's the first time Aiden was no longer afraid of them anymore. All in all, both trophies should unlock together at the end of First Night only if you meet the requirements. If you did not get the Entities Master trophy it means you did something wrong in The Condenser like messed up. The small entities in Homeless don't count at all towards this trophy's unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1585/7DA.jpg A Better World (S)(H)

Let every possible character die and chose to go with them to the Infraworld.

Multiple Chapters Required: Must be played from Homeless all the way to Black Sun. You cannot do this by chapter skipping!

For this trophy you're required to let every possible character die in the game. This trophy is essentially necessary for seeing some endings that can only be seen when certain characters are only dead at the end of the game.

Below is a list on how to kill everyone and their respective chapter:

  • Chapter: Homeless
    • Walter – You can wait for Jodie to collapse or have Jodie interact with the door, then head upstairs to the 2nd floor to leave him to burn.
    • Jimmy - While on the 2nd floor, you can wait until Jodie collapses or knockdown the door, ignore Jimmy and proceed out the window to save Tuesday/Zoey.

    [*]Chapter: Navajo

    • Paul - When you return to the Ranch, ignore Paul and complete the ritual (don’t heal him).

    [*]Chapter: Norah

    • Norah - Use Aiden to stop Norah's heart.

    [*]Chapter: The Black Sun

    • Cole - When Cole is attacked by the evil entities, have Jodie leave him behind and get on the elevator. Another way to kill Cole is by failing the QTE of smashing :cross: when running to the door. This scene is much better than just leaving Cole because you can feel a little less "guilty" (thanks to Trzebiat).
    • Ryan - Find Nathan inside the Black Sun, then get him to shoot Jodie ('Blame' and 'Cold' will work). Now do nothing and Ryan will automatically save Jodie, but dies sacrificing his own life.

This is the only collectible trophy in the game. There are a total of 22 collectibles scatter across the chapters. Only 20 of them can actually be found while the last 2 are story related. Additionally, Aiden is the only capable character of seeing and picking them up and not Jodie. They look like blue aura orbs floating around ground, but they can be collected by pressing the :l1: and then use both the :ls: and :rs: to line the purple orbs in the middle to collect it after holding the orbs steady for a couple of seconds. You'll know you've collected them when the bottom screen says 'You have unlocked a New Bonus'. It's important to note that once you collected a collectible; you'll have it forever as they disappear from the chapters they were found in. Each collectible will unlock additional content such as videos, art and trailers.

If you have already finished the story, then you can collect everything by either starting a new game or use chapter select and quitting to the main menu after finding them. There's no need to reach the next checkpoint.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1585/F01.jpg Together Till the End (G)(H)

Finished the game in Duo mode.

New Game: Start a new game to ensure this trophy unlocks

This is a co-op trophy where you'll to beat the entire game in Duo Mode. The second player can choose to play the game by using another wireless controller, or with an iphone or Android mobile device in touch mode. Using a fight stick, fightpad, or a navigation (move) controller will also work as long as you keep reassigning the 1st controller. Every time you load the game from continue, you'll want to make sure that Duo mode is still active. Do not choose to go for this trophy in chapter select or you will be devastated to find that you've wasted 10 hours of your time. There have been many reports that chapter select doesn't unlock the trophy. Since you have to complete the entire game again in Duo mode anyway; you might as well start a New Game and finish any other trophies that you're still missing as a 2nd playthrough.

BEYOND Touch App: All you’ll need is for your PlayStation 3 system to be on the same WiFi network as your iphone or Android device and you’ll be ready to play the game with touch controls - Apple iPhone/iPad App or Android App

Now, to all those who don't have a 2nd controller of any kind. You'll be glad to know that you can trick the game into thinking you're playing in Duo Mode with 2 controllers when you're really just playing with 1. Follow these steps below:

  1. At the main menu go into Game Mode, select Duo settings, and press :cross: to confirm.
  2. Hold :ps:, select Controller Settings, reassign the controller 1 into 2, press :cross: to confirm and back out by pressing :ps:. Now select Aiden and press :cross: to confirm.
  3. Hold :ps:, select Controller Settings, reassign the controller 2 into 1, press :cross: to confirm and back out by pressing :ps:. Now select Jodie and press :cross: to confirm.
  4. Start a new game.
  5. When you start a new game you may or may not be prompted to return to the main menu (due to no 2nd controller). If you're prompted then press :circle: and return back to the main menu. Then reassign the controllers over again and continue the game. Sometimes, you might lose control of Aiden and he's just floating in the air. If so, you'll need to back out to the main menu and reassign the controllers to re-enable playing as Aiden with one controller, then continue the game.

To check if this worked or not. You should have two difficulty settings for both Jodie and Aiden which is only possible when playing in Duo mode. To check this, go into Options from the :start: menu and Difficulty. It should read that both Jodie and Aiden are playing on "I play video games often". This is a sign that your game is in Duo Mode despite the fact you're playing with only one controller. The duo mode trophies should unlock as normal. If you take a break or continue the story later on always make sure to check your difficultly settings to see if you have two or not. If you have one, then you had reverted back to Solo mode which you don't want happening.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1585/E51.jpg All Endings... (G)

Saw all endings.

For this trophy, you're required to see all the endings in the game. Now there are multiple endings to the game (24 endings), but they're all based off every character in the game being alive or dead at the end. All these endings are mainly composed of duplicated ending scenes along with a new one that you have never seen before. The important thing here is you at least want to view every ending you possibly can view in your 1st playthrough of the game. Then start a New Game for a 2nd playthrough run so you can do the opposite of what you've done and view the last remaining endings. Once you've seen an ending, you'll have that ending forever. You will be required to replay the last chapter, Black Sun about 3 times for different choices. As well as pick both Beyond and Life choices on each replay. When you choose Life though, you'll be able to pick a category of different endings. The good news about the Life choice, is that you can select continue and pick another ending until you viewed them all.

Another thing to keep in mind is Ryan's eye. As many are aware, Ryan can either have an eye patch or no eye patch at all. Making his ending scenes look different, but they are still duplicated. You don't need to view Ryan's endings with or without the eye patch. Additionally, if you have already viewed Zoey and Jay's ending at least once from for 1st playthrough. Then there's no need for you to view them over again in your 2nd playthrough choices. This is because they're the same scenes, but with a slight difference in dialogue that really doesn't even matter for the trophy's unlocking. The only ending that you'll still need to view no matter what is the Alone ending because both Cole and Ryan have cemetery endings when they're dead.

One more final thing to keep in mind is Jodie needs to be killed the evil entities within the Black Sun. This is required for Infraworld Wins ending (worst ending in the game) and you do that by failing the QTE after meeting Nathan. When you do fail this, just put the controller down and don't do anything because if you did entered the correct command for any part of the QTE. Jodie will not die by the entities and will continue forward to deactivating the Black Sun (thanks to julesthegr8).

Below is a playthrough flowchart you can follow to get all endings:

All characters alive: (you can also view each life ending with continue)

  • Choose Life then Alone
  • Choose Life then Zoey
  • Choose Life then Jay
  • Choose Life then Ryan

Replay Black Sun (Norah needs to be alive to view her ending)

  • Choose Beyond

Replay Black Sun (after meeting Nathan fail the next QTE where the entities attack Jodie)

  • Let Jodie Die in Black Sun

From Homeless to end with all characters dead:

  • Choose Beyond

Replay Black Sun:

  • Choose Life then Alone

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1585/2E2.jpg Saved All (G)(H)

Saved every character that could be saved.

Multiple Chapters Required: Must be played from Homeless all the way to Black Sun. You cannot do this by chapter skipping!

For this trophy, you're required to save every character that can be saved in the game. This trophy is essentially necessary for seeing some endings that can only be seen when certain characters are still alive at the end of the game.

Below is a list on how to save everyone and their respective chapter:

  • Chapter: Homeless
    • Walter - Use Aiden to bust the door down.
    • Jimmy - Use Aiden to possess him and jump across to safety.

    [*]Chapter: Navajo

    • Paul - Return to the Ranch, enter his room and heal his wound using Aiden.

    [*]Chapter: Norah

    • Norah - Simply leave the room.

    [*]Chapter: The Black Sun

    • Cole - When Cole is attacked, have Jodie save his life by carrying him, then have Aiden heal his wound.
    • Ryan - Find Nathan inside the Black Sun and you can convince him to see the truth or have Aiden kill him if Jodie gets shot. This prevents Ryan from dying.

Trophies with FAQs

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1585/691.jpg Uncontrollable (S)(H)

Took every opportunity to be evil as Aiden.

What doesn't matter for this trophy?:

  • Patches doesn't matter
  • Solo or Duo mode doesn't matter
  • You can either do this by New Game or chapter selecting from The Experiment and continue onwards

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1585/7DA.jpg A Better World (S)(H)

Let every possible character die and chose to go with them to the Infraworld.

Will New Game Work?:

  • Yes, if you want to do this as a 2nd playthrough, New Game will not erase endings you have seen from a 1st playthrough.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1585/F01.jpg Together Till the End (G)(H)

Finished the game in Duo mode.

Do you need another person?:

  • No, you can do this entire playthrough run yourself as long as you have another controller or an iphone/Android device.

Will 1 controller work?:

  • Yes it will if you do the following:

Saw all endings.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Q: Can you exit or skip out from the credits after viewing the endings?
    • A: No, the game must save which is after the credits finish, thus unlocking the trophies you earned.

[*]Q: If I failed to save everyone, but seen Ryan's ending. Would I have to view it over again?

    • A: No, truth is you just want everyone alive/dead to get the appropriate trophy at the end of the game. This will also make it easier to view the other remaining endings you still need.

[*]Q: Can I go back to save or kill someone I missed using chapter select with no save, then replay the ending chapter over again?

    • A: No, it must be in a straight playthrough across multiple chapters. You cannot skip chapters while doing this, but there are some exceptions where you can go back to a chapter and fix your mistake. Like killing Norah by mistake, then going back to save her and continue playing the game from that point and forward with the save enabled.

[*]Q: Will starting a New Game erase the endings I have seen from my 1st playthrough?

    • A: No, once you've seen an ending, you'll have it forever, so you're free to start a 2nd playthrough to cleanup remaining trophies/endings.

[*]Q: Does Norah need to be alive when choosing the Life option to get the All Endings trophy?

    • A: No, the only ending for Norah is for selecting Beyond. She must be alive as there is no ending for Norah when choosing Life.

[*]Q: When you let Jodie die in the Black Sun, does it matter who you have saved or killed off?

    • A: No doesn't matter at all.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1585/2E2.jpg Saved All (G)(H)

Saved every character that could be saved.

First of all, thank you to everyone who participated in solving the uncontrollable trophy. And another thank you to everyone who tested and narrowed the long lists down to just the 6 real choices. The list of names is too long to mention, but I and everyone on PS3T.org thank you for your dedication. (Uncontrollable?) :applause:

The guide looks great, very detailed and it will be used after my 1st playthrough when I get the game Thursday.

One question about Duo Mode, what is the app you need to use an iPhone for it.

I also assume I can just play the game in Duo mode by myself by just playing with my iPhone

Great guide. Only thing I would change is put more info on these lines to avoid confusion and having to answer plenty of questions.

The Embassy - Suicide kill guard on 2nd floor (should be possess guard on 2nd floor and throw him off the railing near the stairs)

The Party - Set house on fire (choose revenge and knock teens down until you can select candles or the stove)

Anyways good job mate.

it's called the TOUCH app made by sony entertainment. i just searched for it in the play store, should be in app store as well.

you can use 2 controllers for duo, you don't have to use the app.

Great guide but I'm sure you can unlock Never Alone at the party by dancing with the English guy and kissing him, this would be the earliest opportunity.

For smart thief, when taking back control of Jodie after opening the supermarket shutters, the game will ask you to wait or go (or words to that effect) which is a damn good indication that you haven't disabled the security camera.

A well written guide. Excellent job.:)

I have a question:

For the trophies that have a specific requirement, can I just do chapter select and play through that chapter to get that trophy?

Yes but only if the trophy is related to that chapter only, if it spans multiple chapters, you must play from the earliest one where a decision must be made all the way through until the trophy unlocks.
