Introduction: Auditorium HD is a PS3 version of the computer game Auditorium which was first released in 2008. The PS3 version includes two sets of puzzles called "The Classic Track List" and the "The Modern Track List". The object of the game is to direct light particles into multiple containers by using various tools which affect the path of the light stream. As you progress through the playlists, more colors are added and puzzles become more complex as they start to include obstacles like black holes, barriers, etc. However, the game also becomes more beautiful as you progress, both visually and musically. On the later levels, your screen becomes filled with different color particles as they fly around in patterns you create. As the containers fill, different pieces of music start playing, so that by the end of each puzzle you hear all the pieces playing together to create a song. There are no time limits and no score in this game and there are multiple solutions to most of the levels. The end result is that this is a very relaxing game. If you enjoyed Flower or anything similar, you'll probably like this one too. There's a demo available that can be played in a web browser here: Auditorium Demo Roadmap: Step 1: Complete the Classic Track List I recommend doing this list first because at least one of the trophies cannot be unlocked on the modern track list. Simply progress through each song until it's fully unlocked. For now, just worry about solving the puzzles and having fun. If you're curious, Lil' Big Steps will unlock after you complete the first section of the first track (Hajimemashite). You're Halfway There will unlock halfway through track 7 (Sunset). If you miss any trophies, they can be cleaned up in Step 3. However, all of the following will more than likely unlock during the natural course of play: There and Back, Bouncy Bouncy, It's a Mess, and Colors of the Wind. Finally, completing all tracks will unlock Conductor. Step 2: Complete the Modern Track List This step is pretty self explanatory. Completing it will unlock Maestro. Step 3: Event Horizon and cleanup (If Necessary) The only trophy you should have left at this point, besides cleanup, is Event Horizon. It's the only one that requires any real effort outside of just playing the game, but it's still quite easy. See the trophy description for the best level to attempt this on. Lastly, cleanup any trophies that didn't unlock during step 1 and you're done. Gameplay Notes: There are no instructions in this game, however, when a new tool or obstacle is introduced there's always a very simple level that will demonstrate how it works. There are multiple ways to solve most if not all of the levels, so if any of the video solutions don't seem to be working for you, try experimenting with other configurations as you may stumble across another way to finish a puzzle. MFVillin
Trophy Guide: http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/762/01.jpg [ Maestro ] Complete the Modern track list This will unlock after you've successfully completed each section of each track on the Modern track list. Sections that have been solved will display a star. Once each section is showing a star, this trophy is yours. If you get stuck on any puzzles, videos for each track can be found here: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/auditorium/119600-video-solutions-guide-all-tracks.html#post2022493 http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/762/02.jpg [ Conductor ] Complete the Classic track list This will unlock after you've successfully completed each section of each track on the Classic track list. Sections that have been solved will display a star. Once each section is showing a star, this trophy is yours. If you get stuck on any puzzles, videos for each track can be found here: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/auditorium/119600-video-solutions-guide-all-tracks.html#post2022497 http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/762/03.jpg [ Event Horizon ] Beat a black hole level without ever losing a particle to a black hole This can be done quite easily on the fifth section of track 13 (Shadow) on the Classic list. See the video below if you're having trouble. Note that if you do lose a particle into a black hole, you must solve the puzzle so that it will reset before you can attempt it again. Otherwise, if you just press the game will save your current progress on the track instead of resetting. You can unlock this trophy on the Classic Track List only. There are no black holes on the Modern Track List. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DA5cdZc2SPo]Auditorium HD - Event Horizon[/ame] http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/762/04.jpg [ You're Halfway There ] Complete half of either track list Self explanatory. This will unlock when you've completed half of either the Classic or Modern track list. It doesn't matter which list you start first. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/762/05.jpg [ There and Back ] Have a particle go through a portal twice This will unlock naturally when you complete the first section of track 8 (Transmission) on the Classic list. It is impossible to miss as you need to solve the puzzle to advance. Solution: [spoiler=thereback]The particles will be passing through a portal when the level starts. Just reflect the particles back through the portal using the tool to get this trophy. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPaHrAbtP4o]Auditorium HD - There and Back[/ame] http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/762/06.jpg [ Bouncy, Bouncy ] Bounce a particle off the Deflect control 4 times This is easiest to get on the first section of track 10 (Crystal) on the Classic list. The Deflect control only appears on the Classic Track List. Solution: [spoiler=bouncy]Just make the control fairly small and center it over the source of the light beam. Particles will bounce off the inner wall at least 4 times. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtV8yra4X2s]Auditorium HD - Bouncy Bouncy[/ame] http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/762/07.jpg [ It's a Mess ] Win by manually spraying particles into a container For this trophy, you will need to complete a puzzle by filling two containers manually. Or, in other words, you need to move the stream back and forth with a control to make it fill both containers at once, so that the puzzle completes without you setting up stationary pieces where the particles "automatically" deflect into the container. Big thanks to slammajamma28 for figuring out the specific requirements of this trophy. This can be done easily on 1-5 on the Classic track list. See the video if you're having any trouble. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqMPb3pnSlY]Auditorium HD - Its A Mess[/ame] http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/762/08.jpg [ Colors of the Wind ] Have a single particle change its color 3 times This should unlock naturally as you solve puzzles on track 15 of the Classic list. There are three colors involved in these puzzles and it's almost impossible to not send a particle through all three while working on the solutions. If you're having trouble, the video below shows when this unlocked for me. It was on section 2 of the final track on Classic. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgAko-Xp6Sw]Auditorium HD - Colors of the Wind[/ame] http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/762/09.jpg [ Lil' Big Steps ] Beat the first act of any track list Self explanatory. This will unlock when you've completed the first puzzle on either the Classic or Modern track list. It doesn't matter which list you start first. Slamma
I'm having some difficulty with It's a Mess. I'm trying to do exactly what you did... I've done it 3 or 4 times now. Still hasn't popped. [EDIT] Got it. What I did was have the Shield and the Up bubbles working on filling the white bars. Then when the right bars were all filled, I stole the whole stream from the right bars and filled up the blue/green bars. And I manually changed the stream as fast as I could to keep them both full. MFVillin
Well now I'm really confused. I just started it up on a new profile and was going to go to that level and see if I could reproduce it. But it unlocked on on the 3rd section of the first song on the classic list. I still don't know what I did though. I'd just keep working on the puzzles (if you haven't finished them yet) and see if it unlocks without having to do anything special. It's the second most common trophy earned for this game according to YGC. 340 of 579 (58.72%) users, have earned this trophy. Edit: Nevermind. Just saw your edit. I guess that makes sense. I remember a few times where I did that and I thought the puzzle ended early or something. In fact, I rerecorded one level because I didn't think people would be able to reproduce it easily. Anyway, I'll update the trophy description in the morning and see if I can record a better video tomorrow night. Thanks for the info dude Edit 2: That was definitely it. Quite simple when you actually know what to do Updated the video with something much easier to follow. Thanks again slamma Edited August 11, 2011 by MFVillin

scottq
Thanks a lot for a great guide, I just got my 100%. It's a good game and I liked solving them, but I never would have gotten some of the later ones without your video solutions You're definitely skilled at the game and did a great job with the videos. Rnumbers
Didn't see this mentioned anywhere, but it seems to get the tracklist completion trophies, it's only necessary to complete all levels of the final track, not all levels of every track. Since tracks unlock as soon as you have finished all but one of the levels of the previous track, this means you can skip one level per track (except the last, natch). I found this to be pretty nice since some tracks are short anyway, and the first level tends to be a gimme. Noticed this first when I found that I had left one level on the modern tracklist unfinished and then verified when doing the classic tracklist by skipping a level on almost every track. Assuming anyone even plays this game again, perhaps they can confirm.
