Ariost
Assassin's Creed Unity has been delayed to November 11, 2014 and will have a day one patch. So now both Unity and Rogue come out on the same day. ShadowStar83x
Same day as Rogue. Interesting.... Also, am I the only one who thinks a day 1 patch equals laziness?
Gage
Same day as Rogue. Interesting.... Also, am I the only one who thinks a day 1 patch equals laziness? Would you rather have it delayed an extra two weeks or have a day one patch? Because that's normally what the patches are for, to fix any other bugs that might come up in between the game being printed and actually releasing. I do think it's somewhat odd though that they're already 100% there will be one 3 months before the game comes out.
MHST_Guy
So seeing as how it's a 4 week delay, and a day one patch, it's actually more like a 6 week delay? That's pretty massive... And don't get me started on my day one patch rant. Pretty sure I've spouted off about that on here at least once. It involves Super Mario Bros on the NES...game dev's today use it as a crutch. And I hate it.
mullinavat
As long as the game is better because if it I am fine. I will just play other games
Oo Ion oO
As long as the game is better because if it I am fine. I will just play other games Quted for MF truth. It's not like my whole gaming experience relies on the release date of an AC game.
Alex Fly
That's ok and I wanted to start Rogue first anyway (because it has the same gameplay than the previous game and it features naval battles).
Neme
I have to many days for playing and got plat on The Evil Whitin. But damn ACU, LEGO Batman 3 and Far Cry 4 on the same day
SoaringEagle23
Why am I not surprised that Ubisoft does this. Not only is it delayed by a few weeks, but launches with a day-one patch too, it makes a person worry for the game. I still have high hopes that this game will do better than previous titles over the past couple of years, but from the way it is now, it's not off to a good start. As long as it's not anything like the clusterfuck ACIII, or the social events on ACIV, we should be somewhat good.
dz06lt
i suspect the discs have not yet been pressed, so the need for a patch is pointless

All this does is guarantee Unity ends up on my Christmas list now. I'm getting Rogue day 1, though.

Supremacy
Id personally use the term 'Pushed Back', they've probably gonna get a lot of shit from people who don't read.
Shanehi185
Was hoping to finish Unity before farcry 4 came out but 2 weeks isn't a big deal.
Chrisjw
Hadn't heard about the patch, why do they need it? I assume they haven't gone gold yet?
Oo Ion oO
Hadn't heard about the patch, why do they need it? I assume they haven't gone gold yet? To annoy the customers of course. A lot of big games these days has a day one patch. I'm not in favour of them releasing a game that needs to be patched immediately, but that's how it is nowadays. I'd rather have a semi-functioning game with the day one patch, than a game-breaking glitch without the patch. ^^^ Look at that sentence. Sad how it's become. Moving On
The delay is unfortunate, but it is what it is. Day one patches are kind of annoying, too, but as long as it's not a massive 1 Gig download, it shouldn't be too much of a hassle.
THUGGEDOUT1
This works out, gives me more time with Middle Earth but do agree with others regarding getting delayed now and having patches.
ixii
Sad, I wanted to finish Unity before Rogue came out, so that I wouldn't have to choose between them and/or wouldn't have to play both and switch. Oh well.

x9zachattack5x
November is going to be crazy. Yeah something's gotta give. I mean 3 huge Ubisoft titles in one month? Damnnnnnn!
LordShavron
It involves Super Mario Bros on the NES...game dev's today use it as a crutch. And I hate it. Keep in mind that this game is insanely more complex than any NES game. There is probably more code going on in the menu system for Unity than all of Super Mario Bros.
