Hippeus
After playing ACIII and ACIV my skills are a little rusty with Ezio. How do I deal with heavy weapon soldiers again? Cause I can't dodge/block them correctly.
Capt_Beachhead
You could try disarming them, their normal attack not their unblockable heavy attack, and then kill them. You could also just button mash the hidden blades on them because eventually Ezio will be able to kill them automatically. Smoke bombs also work well because they will be distracted/coughing and easy to one hit kill with hidden blades. There are probably a variety of ways to kill them...these are what I did. Quikdrawjoe
If you time the Hidden Blades correctly (right as they're about to hit you) you can instant kill any enemy in the game (except bosses) with the Hidden Blades. Ubisoft wants you to dodge and then swipe them one or two times while their defense is down; Rinse and Repeat.
Hippeus
Ok thanks. Maybe I'll do some refresher training with Mario at the estate once I'm done with ACIV. So I don't go back and fourth between 2 different styles of combat.
SoaringEagle23
If I remember correctly, you counter by holding R1. One of the reasons why I had trouble with ACIII was because I had to time hitting circle or whatever the counter button is in newer games.

Sad thing is I find Ezio's trilogy combat system more alien to me now then ACIII and ACIV. Can't believe I said that but there it is:whistle:. Nevertheless I want to get the trophies I had on my 360 for Ezio's games.
