mcolwander90
Electronic Arts has clarified to IGN saying Mass Effect 3 will launch simultaneously on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC next Holiday. The debut trailer from last night's Video Game Awards show did not mention specific platforms. The series has previously seen exclusive launches on PC and Xbox 360. PlayStation 3 owners had to wait nearly an entire year to play Mass Effect 2. The second title launches on Jan. 18, 2011 in North America and Jan 18. in Europe. The first Mass Effect will remain exclusive to Xbox 360 and PC. No Wait for Mass Effect 3 on PS3 - PlayStation 3 News at IGN Just for those who might have been wondering/worried if it'd be another timed release. Edit: spelled "simultaneous" wrong :\ Edited December 12, 2010 by mcolwander90
PKopetzky
Nice, might be finished with 2 before 3 gets released
dda1996a
I want to play the 2nd then Ill decide about this
BaldWombat
I don't think it was an intentional timed release. I think Bioware saw that their PS3 version of Dragonage wasn't as good as the 360 version so they wanted to spend the time to make their flagship franchise's PS3 debut perfect. I mean Bioware saw that money could be made by releasing it for PS3. It wasn't intentional, it just came out the way it did.
GodkingLeonidas
What was better about the 360 version?
BaldWombat
What was better about the 360 version? Some people complained about the PS3 version having some hiccups and glitches that weren't present on the 360 version. It was Bioware's first PS3 release though. ChazwickOfArrows
I'll still be getting this for 360, as I have all my characters/DLC on that system. If I'd bought my PS3 a year sooner, I may have decided differently.

It was Bioware's first PS3 release though. That's all? Nothing major in my opinion and as you said it was their first. No worries.
