8BitArtist
im harvesting my little sisters so i dont have to deal with collecting adam, but every 3 a big sister still comes. i lucked out in Pauper's Drop and saved the little sister right at the end, harvested her, then hauled ass to the train right as the big sister came. trying to decide how many i should harvest to get the things i absolutely need or things that would make hard mode easier. Jaster
In the earlier stages, one for every 2 that you save/harvest. Later on it's one per 3 save/harvest. Then there's the two that appear together near the end. I'm pretty sure you would face the same amount regardless if the difficulty you're playing on. 8BitArtist
the two at the end i know i cant avoid. what im asking is, you dont have to harvest/save all the little sisters, so how many did someone do to squeak by. the only plasmids i used on a regular basis during my easy run was winter blast and electro shock (never even used decoy, scout, security or hypnotize). so i dont need nearly as much adam as i received in my easy play through. saintdave
I saved all possible sisters on my easy run so when I did my hard run the other day I did the bare minimum. The 3 Stanley asks you to get and the 2 harvests to get incenerate near the start was all I did. Even then I harvested them all to make up for the ADAM I would miss out on by skipping by. T_l_M_B_0
I did them all because i still needed to research. It wasnt too bad they get much easier as you go along.

killsey
I did them all One time I was able to get away with it because a big daddy fought the big sister instead of me
F8L Fool
You get 40 ADAM for actually killing a Big Sister, so you're better off actually killing them rather than avoiding them. You also need them because you will have to fully research them in order to get your trophy.
Cyanide Breath Mint
You also need them because you will have to fully research them in order to get your trophy. This is only assuming that the user is needing the research trophy and it doing it on Hard, mind you. I did all trophies on Easy and am running through on Hard for just that trophy. But if you think it's going to hurt you more than help you and you don't need the trophy then that make sense.
RuivoM
There's a max of 5 big sisters if you dealt with every little sister. 3 that appears after u save 3 little and 2 nearly end of the game that lamb sents to attack u.
8BitArtist
i platted this last night only having to fight 1 big sister voluntarily. the others that were mandatory, im not counting. you really dont need that much ADAM in this game. most of the tonics dont really help all that much and as for plasmids, well, you really only need winter blast and the final plasmid. i just upgraded my health and eve every time i could. i did summon 2 big sisters from harvesting, but like i said in a previous post, in paupers, i harvested a little sister near the train and hauled ass to it before the big sister came. i was expecting her to be waiting for me at the next stage but she wasnt. i thought the game was decent, but like bioshock 1, i get bored in rapture after awhile. so i just wanted to finish it as fast as possible. Cauchy
I took care of every big sister, primarily because I wanted to finish everything during my hard play-through. Still, I probably would have killed them all anyway because I really enjoyed setting up the battle then kicking the living crap out of them
