ShadowEpyon10
I was reading about x360a PS3 section and noticed somebody had posted about trophey information but didn't post the list but the source which is ign.com and while reading through discovered an article talking about Rock band 2, guitar hero world tour and rock revolution perhiprals in which sony has been working with them here is the article by ign.com The days of cluttering your house with multiple plastic guitars appear to be ending. Sony has been working with Neversoft and Activision, Harmonix, and Konami to get everyone on the same page about how guitar and drum set controllers will work on the PlayStation 3, according to Michael Shorrock, Sony Computer Entertainment America director of third party relations. What this means for you, the consumer, is that one company's peripherals should work with another company's game -- titles such as Guitar Hero: World Tour, Rock Band 2, and Rock Revolution. Over on the PlayStation Blog, Shorrock cited the following examples… Rock Band 2's guitar and drum set will work with Guitar Hero: World Tour and with Rock Revolution. Rock Revolution's drum set will work with both Guitar Hero: World Tour and Rock Band 2. Guitar Hero: World Tour and Rock Band 2 will both support the SingStar microphones. "We're still working hard to ensure compatibility between the Guitar Hero and Rock Band titles currently on the market, and we hope to have an announcement on that shortly," Shorrock wrote. "Of course each of these great games have their own specific cool features that may not be compatible with the other controllers, but this is our first big step in bringing a level of compatibility to music games that is sure to benefit PlayStation 3 consumers." Sorry for long boring post but it is good news.
CaptainHavok
Yeah, I was excited about this news. I'm getting Guitar Hero: World Tour special edition so I get the better peripherals and then the Rock Band 2 disc. Best of both worlds! Might have to get a used PS3 Rock Band guitar for some of those trophies requiring solo buttons...but I really don't like that guitar.
Shaha44
I am using my Singstar mics and Guitar Hero 3 guitar for Rock Band 2. So far they have worked great, including me getting the 100% vocals on expert (put my mic up to my center channel speaker).
