kristomizer
I am just about to start this one, Can't wait! Just wondering if anyone has used Active Pickups? I'm hesitant to use a guitar with EMG's just in case... Also, is there alot of changes in the tuning? Drop D etc. I ask because I generally use a locking trem. I do have fixed bridge guitars, but I am more comfortable with a floating bridge. And as any guitarist knows, changing tuning on a floating bridge isn't as straight forward. Thanks in advance
sum1_worsethan_u
Not sure how to answer your pickup question...maybe someone else can handle that. There are a significant number of songs that are in Drop D tuning. I had a few sets where I had to re-tune the guitar to and from Drop D. You can limit how many times you have to re-tune your guitar by swapping out songs on your setlist...but I don't see how you can avoid re-tuning your guitar unless you swap to your fixed bridge guitars when you need to go to Drop D. kristomizer
I thought as much. Thanks I decided to go with the passive pickups with the floydd. I setup a guitar in D and put it beside me just in case. I also have a bass out so I can change it up at a moments notice. Its a damn cool game
