AegisAvenger
I heard that if you have a save file or the game, you will unlock a unique armor for Mass Effect 3 and the same for Amalur. Is that true?
Rawanz
You dont need a save file. You just need to have played either of them. And logged in with your Bioware/EA Account. If you just played and completed the Kingdoms of Amalur demo, then you unlocked a set of armor and a weapon. Reckoner Knight Armour and Chakram Launcher

I planned to buy both KoA & ME3, so I will avoid wasting my time downloading demos of game I will buy anyway.
BaldWombat
The demo is the only way as far as I am aware. One a side note, you get the armor for completing the story part of the demo and the weapon for completing the 45 min freeplay at the end of the story section. For the freeplay, you can just let it sit and do nothing if you don't want to spoil anything.

I am pretty sure the demo is the only way to get the 2 items I mentioned. The full KoA game unlocks something diffrent in ME3, as far as im aware. ChrisBalrog
Wait... if I understand correctly, I simply need to make a EA Account, download the KoA demo, finish it and connect to my EA account to register that I finished it. Now I can delete the demo and when ME3 come out, I will simply need to connect to my EA account to unlock both items? Or I will still need the demo in my PS3? Once you have completed the KoA demo and got the message that you unlocked something for ME3, then you can delete the demo. You can always go to http://www.social.bioware.com log in with your account, and check the items you have unlocked for certain Bioware titles. Profile > Your registered game content just in-case you wanna check it. It should say Chakram Launcher & Reckoner-Knight on that page if you have unlocked it.
